You beat me to it, jaclaz, but I'm guessing that he was already aware of that. The humor I believe is in the fact that the technology predates most people here. ;)

I find nothing funny in a bus mouse.

They were a giant leap forward over previous experimental models:

Real_Mouse.jpg

(they needed a lot of work to feed them, and to clean the mouse pad :angel )

The really early ones were nice, but d@mn heavy ;):

Of course I knew of that bus mouse... also found something about a Cat Driving a Schoolbus...

However I am guessing this is a typo in the program, rather than expecting someone installing the x64 version of FreeNAS to actually have a real Bus Mouse connected to their system.

Living with a broken google must be tough

Might say something about a working jaclaz but...

Or more probably a "remnant" from an earlier version....

Problem might be finding a signed bus mouse driver .....

...this one appears like made in Thailand

What predates on bus mice are bus cats, actually. Same stands for bus rats.

BTW, what about dormice? Do they thrive in dorms?

As used, spelling it without the hyphen is acceptable in US English. ;)

I do my best, but I'll be the first to admit that my spelling is sometimes way off; much like this fellow's:

I like a little heft to my mouse. Where can I get one? :D

I don't think FreeNAS (its some kind of Linux) cares about that so much... Although I can partially relate it to that time I had to take a tech call about a mouse... But it turns out a Serial mouse won't work in Windows 7...

Great picture! My new wallpaper! :w00t:

I believe I still have a Busmouse Addin Board and the associated Busmouse lying around here somewhere....

Need it, Trip? ;):w00t:

Its also another thing about that screen. You'd figure it would ask you if you had one of those, but notice its only a Yes or No option. Its not one of those types of screens that will enable mouse support if you choose yes, since it is already enabled and you can move the cursor around. After you choose yes it doesn't ask you any more questions about the mouse.. although I bet it would disable mouse support if you choose no.

Actually, given it is a Linux it's probably asking you if you have it to see if it can avoid loading the serial driver, and stick with the USB one (which can be loaded and unloaded without much issue, unlike the old serial bus driver). The question is actually funny if you read it as "choose one of the three, yes or no" as well if you look at it quickly without thinking too hard - which I am certainly not doing at 12:45AM ET :).

...actually it is a FreeBSD....

So it is some deriveative of Unix, but definitely NOT a Linux.

Sure :), just having a bit of fun, but:

Fair enough. Antedate it is.

I recognize the stupidity of the phrase "American English," which is why I always say US English instead. Of course, it's hard to say unitedstatesian, so I dumb down to 'merkin.

Oh, and
