Could you fix so that the default folder, when selecting an image, OEM etc. is in WinNTSetup dir?

And also include a parameter in command-line to set this folder: like -startdir:E:\ or something?

Hi JFX,

Currently in WinNTsetup plugin for WinPESE, I use the download switch to pre-download the needed ADK files when building.
Is it possible to provide a new switch, like DownloadExit, to close WinNTSetup after downloading ?

I second it. Make the prompt close itself.

Please make it completely offline, it needs some files of 2 MB

I work in ocean going ships & having internet is a rare luxury.

Please, a humble request.

If you set 'Mount Installation drive as'  to * then the system drive letter of a standard Windows Install will not change. A stock Windows (non-WinToGo) 7 will result in D:, and Windows 8 and newer usually in C:
The 'drive letter pre-assignment' option will save the drive letters of all fixed volumes. So for WinToGo this option is of no use.

This little tidbit about WinNTSetup from this link - http://www.rmprepusb.com/tutorials/129

Can someone clarify/ elaborate on this? Its a bit confusing.

Hi JFX!

Why the ini file of a configuration doesn't work with my name ("config7.ini")? If the ini file is called "WinNTSetup.ini" - everything works.

If you want to use a different named ini, you need to use command line.

Add -cfg:config7.ini

Version 3.8.5.3 now fixes the download command and exist after downloading the files.

Further is now possible to set defaults to the folder browsing option in your ini file.

Following will set all the dialogs to the same dir as where WinNTSetup.exe is located.

[WinNT5]dir=.\[WinNT6]dir=.\

There are also driverdir, sourcedir, unattenddir, oemdir, and rundir avalible.

All dialogs will remember the last location, this also includes changes made by ini or command line.

The space that can be saved by using wimboot or compact mode varied very much depending on many things.

Of course you can use custom WIM and VHDs.

I created a new WinNTSetup.ini and added as follows but it didn't work. The program remembers the last used data but will not use the paths within the the ini.

SourceDir=.\ImagesUnattendDir=.\UnattendOemDir=.\OEM

Also tried it as a parameter like so:

-sourcedir:Unattend

So what are these? ini or parameters and why aren't they working?

I did not add any command line options, so yes they are ini keys.

Make sure you put them in a section: [WinNT5] or [WinNT6].
