WPI v8 Bug thread

Featured Replies

When changing the path for where to copy audio files to the hard drive the correct path does not get generated in the .m3u file.

Also, (not really a bug but) if you use environment variables in the path those gets evaluated on the machine you used when configuring WPI and not the machine that you are installing windows on. Which makes variables a bit moot, as it is makes virtually no difference to write %systemdrive% instead of c:\ and as such could point to a non-existent location. Evaluating the variables during installation and putting the resulting .m3u in %temp% f.ex. would be a better solution imo.

In Options Wizard -> Style tab I am using Corp theme I change the "Selected skin", instead of Save I hit Exit to cancel any changes I made but the color/skin will still change, even tho I said it was OK to exit without saving

There are problems with linebreaks in ToolTips - if you just press return a new-line-character will be inserted after the div in config.js

prog[pn]=['Test'];
shortdesc[pn]=['1.0'];
uid[pn]=['TEST'];
dflt[pn]=['yes'];
forc[pn]=['no'];
bit64[pn]=['no'];
cat[pn]=['Applications'];
cmds[pn]=[];
desc[pn]=['<P>Test</P>
<P>1</P>
<P>2</P>
<P>3</P>'];
pn++;

If the archive is updated the fix doesn't work.

Just a hint: The image on wpiw.net shows 7.7.0 as current version.

The archive has not been updated yet. Waiting for Xure to check his issue. And if any other small items come in the next day or two....

Hello

I get an error when starting WPI v8 exe on Windows Server 2003 R2 32bit and 64bit (both tested), no problems so far on Windows Server 2008 64bit, Windows Server 2008 R2 64bit, Windows 7 64bit.

I used the downloaded and unmodified version, with no own config, userfunctions, useroptions or something else, to exclude errors in my own configs.

"USSF Error, Damaged Windows Installation File. It is strongly recommended to scan your files with a virus scanner"

Whats happend, i have no virus.

And with USSF Standalone, no problems.

Thanx to mritter and Kelsenellenelvian - really good work.

I think schnedwui's error was the same as mine - because I had exactly the same message.

I my case it was the problem of IE6 (or its settings) - because my XP Home was a clean install without updates.

After update to SP3 (and all later hotfixes) the problem was also gone without the fix.
