[HELP] Retriving password for INternet Connection

Hi,

I am trying to setup a router for one of my friends, however the password for their connection is stored in the dial-up screen thing. It shows up as about 12 black dots.

They don't remember what the password is. so really this is the only way of getting at it.

Is there any software that will read th password behind the dots?

Snadboy's Revelation but only useful for reading behind the asterik. Drag the cross-hairs over the password box

Use google and seach for a programme named "Dialupass" this will reveal it .

If nothing works, phone the ISP's helpdesk, surely they can reset it.

This might be something and nothing but I thought i'd take a look at that program. I use avast antivirus and it pops up and says it contains W32.dialupass Might not be a virus but just be carefull either way.

An alternative that you could try is SIW, its very good and has some very very usefull tools built in and can be downloaded here for free :-

with Dialupass, u dont need to install it, jus open an run it. i used it back in the day, when i had a dial up connec, dont think i ever got any w32

I wouldn't recommend a password revealer/cracker as the first choice. Call the ISP.
