Applications:

Avast 2014 (v9.x.x) doesn't support silent install and breaks the 64-bit version of IE8 so sticking with v8.0.1497 is recommended for now.

Windows Defender has been missing from the Microsoft download site for a while now, but on the other hand the latest version of Microsoft Security Essentials will install on XP x64.

AFAIK, it's 5.6 that is the default Windows Script version in WinXP x64. So for 5.6 we should install KB2892076 instead. Are you intentionally updating the Windows Script version in your list? Or is there another reason?

Yes, the upgrade is intentional, one could make the same point about the hotfix list supporting IE8 & WMP11 rather than IE6 & WMP10 (as well as other lower profile updates).

Avast Anti-Virus was the first free Anti-Virus product to support x64 windows and is still quite popular, however the latest version (2014 v9.x.x) breaks IE8 x64 and doesn't support silent install so you should use the older v8.0.1497, if you want to install additional languages (such as Pirate Talk) run the installer again and select it, any other method will result in your copy being "upgraded" to Avast 2014, also detection update integration is supported

You are running nLite under Windows7, have you?

1. Set nLite to run in Windows XP compatibility mode

2. Disabled any Anti-Virus or other security software

To install using winsetup3 (thanks JFX) to a hardisk or partition

4. run winsetup3 set to drive partition

5. add $oem$ folder at the ready part press on $oem$ lower left add yours out of x6sp2x64

6. copy your files addons runonce wmp11 Run1 bat Run2 bat to the root of the drive, partition were you installed with winsetup3 (not in any folder)

7.when the runonce kicks in before desktop let it count down dont press anything, then obviously it wont find the bat as source is set to /M as it says above,

in the command window, set the SOURCE to C exactly as its typed above just changing to C

then type %Source%Run1_XP-64.bat to start the bat

There will be no update for April and the tracker will be down for a couple of weeks as at the time that new hotfixes are released I will be on the way to the airport.

As to mucking around with the batch files and their locations, you're on your own as the current config works and I don't have the time to test other variations.

Not sure why, but it looks to me like µTorrent is banning you:

I've also tried downloading the missing hotfix(es) WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB961118-x64-ENU.exe and WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB2813345-x64-ENU.exe manually. When re-checking µTorrent renames them to incomplete files KB961118 get set to 0b's done.

The only thing I can think of is that you have an old version of the torrent, be sure to grab the latest from the tracker.

If that doesn't work then that's just plain weird, still you should be able to override it.

A couple of relatively quite months, the only thing of note being the official end of support but as readers of this forum should know we can use Server 2003 x64 hotfixes until that goes EoL in July 2015. However there is a trick to applying Server 2003 x64 hotfixes, namely you have to patch update.exe as described here - must read instructions for keeping your XP x64 install updated.

On the application front, the latest version of Microsoft Security Essentials no longer supports XP x64, you have to use v4.4.304.0, the only one that did.

Also the batch files have largely (but not completely) been rewritten to copy then execute those applications whose names include version numbers, this should make them more robust to executable name changes but you cannot have two or more versions of the same application in \AddOns.

The problem that the K-Lite Mega Codec pack had with EMET has been resolved, probably by EMET 4.1 update 1

Split most the hotfix lists off from the main topic so as to streamline it, also changed the way the hotfix archives are packed and gave instructions on the torrent so that 5eraph's pack users download a subset of the available hotfixes
