  1. I was trying to run Vlc with some videos on a Pentium II 333mhz with 96 mb ram. I was running both VLC and the video off a flash drive in the usb 1.0 port. The playback was very poor the video was extrmely choppy and the audio was garbled. I tried both an avi and mp4 file with the avi giving the bad video and the mp4 not even playing. Is their any way I can maybe fix this issue and watch some videos? Would maybe having VLC onnthe hard drive be better? Maybe another video player?   2. Hi All, New to the forum and looking for some help/advice on a project I am working on. The scope of the project is to turn an old failing Win98 computer into something new that will live on. I am using VMware to accomplish the task of running Win98 on new hardware. ---This part of the project is flawless in operation as I am able to communicate with the equipment as needed. I am using a new HP EliteDesk computer with a Core i7, 8 gigs of ram and Win7 OS. It's the SFF for space requirement reasons. Now on to the issue I am running into.   3. First let me tell you I am a Windows user since v3.11, second I don't use any version of Linux on my PC, but with recent info about privacy issues in Win10 I don't know how this is going to end. Free Software Foundation article: "Microsoft's Software is Malware" is here: http://www.gnu.org/proprietary/malware-microsoft.en.html I know they are using this to promote free software as Linux, but I think reading the full page and all links in it is someting we all shoud do and then make our own conclusions.
