  1. Frequent overheating will cause you more problems in the future than this message. You should combat that issue first I would advise.
  2. Good that you finally joined. I think I came about the same way.
  3. Yes, make sure to read the rules. And no more all caps please.
  4. Greetings
  5. I heard that is a nice place to live!
  6. I know what you mean about worrying about a magazine and it not being printed anymore. Recently (well maybe around last year) Ram (Reseller Advocate Magazine) went online only as well. I didn't actually pay for it, but I liked to read it. I am not as interested in reading magazines or newspapers online. I maybe look at one article online and then that is it. With a paper magazine, I'd actually spend more time with it, read more articles, etc.
  7. I agree. Your PE should already be able to do this. Even v2.0 could detect USB keys automatically. It won't autoplay or show you anything on the screen, but you should be able to verify its drive letter after being plugged in with Diskpart. Use the list vol command to see the drive letters.
  8. I would imagine its the same difference of Vista vs Server 2008.
  9. My Nero 7 has it, but the license I use does not let me open it. And it is not part of my Nero 8 install either. I'll may try one of the other ones posted here but first I have to uninstall Nero 8 and then I'm going to try DaemonTools first.
  10. Have you checked out this forum? http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showforum=40
  11. I didn't know about ImageDrive. I see it now in the Program Files. I have access to full versions of Nero actually. I will try to see if our copy of Nero 8 works with it then. Thanks a lot.
  12. I've just come back from trying all the BIOS settings, memory configurations and reading all the technical documentation on Intel's site relating to the motherboard and chipset and I am coming up with no definitive answer here. Symptom: No video, PC posts but can't see anything. Initial POST beep sounds and Numlock key is workable. Motherboard: Intel DG43NB Video cards: PNY Quadro NVS440 PCIE x16, PNY Quadro NVS440 PCIE x1 Works when...: Take out the x1 card RAM 2x DDR2 800MHz 2GB sticks Alright so the computer will boot, but there is no video when both video cards are installed. If you take out the x1 card, you get the video. There are 3 x1 slots on the motherboard, and this happens no matter which one I try. First thing I found out about was the memory. The Specification says that each slot only works with a maximum of 1GB, and supports up to 4GB maximum with 1GB in each slot. Yes the Spec says this board has 4 slots, but it actually only has two. So I went and got 2x 1GB sticks of the same RAM and put them in there instead. Here are the results of 2GB RAM (2x 1GB): No POST/power cycling: with x1 card installed Works fine: x1 card not installed I tried to disable a bunch of things in the BIOS to see if it would work (went back to the 4GB config too). They were: USB, Onboard LAN, Serial Port, Audio and Firewire. This did not make a difference with or without the card. The Spec also says that the memory address space for the PCI-E x16 with graphics is 256MB, and up to 512MB for the 1x slots. My ideas are that there is not enough memory address space with 2GB RAM for it to boot properly, and not sure about the 4GB issue. The integrated graphics also automatically determines whether to display video via VGA or DVI-D based upon the cards it detects, which is independent from specifying PEG as the primary display adapter. So the motherboard may change where the video is going to be output based on what is connected, so this could also be an issue. Any clues about this problem?
  13. My server is up and running and I need to install the newest OPK. But our download of it won't install after burning it because of CRC errors. We have tried multiple times to burn it and also redownloaded it. I did get it to install on another computer using the Virtual CD Rom Control Panel. That was on 2003 x86. The Virtual CD Rom Control Panel does not work in Server 2008 x64. When I go to load the driver, a message comes up saying that the driver has been blocked. I have also tried running this as Administrator (elevated) but no change. So is there any programs that I can mount an ISO file to a mount point in 64bit Server 2008?
  14. The properties of the device may have an extra tab.
  15. You can try using VBScript, which should be similar enough for you to write your functions with. It works fine in PE 2.0.
  16. Use a similar command as this: peimg /inf=G:\madan\mount\windows\inf\*.inf G:\madan\mount\windows But ah, you don't need your source path to be in the mount. You should import your drivers from somewhere else because it does not install all of the files. Plus now you technically have duplicate files in your ISO image. My command is like this, besides obvious drive letter difference: peimg /inf=d:\drivers\win32\*.inf c:\winpe_x86\mount\windows Note the wildcard there. PEIMG will try to install all the INF files it can find in that folder.
  17. In later versions of Windows, this is caused by Ownership issues. Could you still change permissions on registry entries in 2k? I know its kinda annoying even in XP.
  18. The GraphEdit program comes in the DirectX SDK. Since the website's instructions refered to using that program with this DLL, I only imagined you had already installed it.
  19. What is the purpose of this information? What does your application need to do with the different information, such as if it is MP or UP? With Vista, this information isn't needed at all, since you need to generalize an image before it can be redeployed.
  20. 0xc0000005 means access denied. So the game tries to access a file, but that file is locked or in use by another program, and so it crashes. Have you tried this forum? http://forums.epicgames.com/showthread.php?t=594933 It is their (EPIC) official support forum.
  21. If you have other USB devices connected to the computer, try disconnecting those and see if you still get disconnected. Check Device Manager to see if the USB Device that represents the Livebox has any Power Management options. And try to disable sleep and hibernate on your computer to see if this is causing a problem also.
  22. Have you also updated the BIOS?
  23. Do you only get this error when you press F9?
  24. Win PE only supports Uni and Multiprocessor ACPI enabled environments.
