  1. Ah learning, this I can help with. Lesson #1: The rest of the forum rules are here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?app=forums&module=extras&section=boardrules Enjoy your stay!
  2. Also, if this notebook is has your school Asset Tag on it, you need to make sure that you are allowed to change the system.
  3. Yes or perhaps... who uses that blue field? That blew my mind when I first saw it. Reminds me of this skin a little bit.
  4. From what I can tell, you can't specifically share (or bookmark) a link and specify one skin or the other. You can if you copypasta to your own browser (you can see a hash in the URL at that time) but this compares against the cookie on your PC to pick the skin. If you pasted into another browser, the board default would appear. That being said, IP.B used to use something called "lo-fi" option which would actually generate a separate URL that always showed a skin very similar to the IP.Mobile skin. Unfortunately, I haven't seen any current IP.Board use that option, so I am not entirely sure it even exists anymore.
  5. You need to add the account in oobeSystem pass and not Audit pass. If Audit mode is specified (it isn't in your XML example) Windows will log in using the built-in Administrator account.
  6. Am I to guess you are using a MAK key in the Specialize section? Try putting a default key there instead: http://www.cluberti.com/blog/2009/08/11/default-keys-for-vista-and-windows-7-deployment/
  7. Looks like you may find your answer here.
  8. look at the Windows Tips and Tweaks section

    hii

I am certain that at least one of those things can happen.
  10. It does appear that Intel does not have any current board that have USB 3.0 or SSD SATA ports. I have seen USB 3 on one board so far, I'm pretty sure it was an MSI board with the Intel P55 chipset. Interesting that some manufacturers can make better systems with Intel's technology than Intel does. I will admit that some of Intel's products have been a pain lately. As far as the above quote, you can't really compare Intel board to other boards made by other people even using Intel's chipsets because they appear to lack all those extra items. Here is the DX58SO which is their "gaming" type board, or in the Extreme Series. Their "super" version of that board is the WX58BP which has some additional features usually only found in their Server boards. However this is a Workstation board and there may not be support for the operating system that you use. Then again, most people do not really care too much about software support if building a system for yourself, when it comes to putting together systems for sale to companies that is another story.
  11. Make sure to post in this thread once those messages go away.
  12. I see that not only is Google blocking this domain, but our corporate firewall is as well. They probably just recently appeared on a blacklist for some reason. I have located some of these images that are hosted there, I'll see what can be done about it. There is also a good possibility that those pictures are not the only ones posted here. The problem with this is that we may not be able to fix it. Some sites will get blacklisted because of what their users do. It might also "fix itself" by getting removed. I remember a similar situation happened when autoitscript.com got blacklisted for hacking. They got it resolved but there is always the possibility of getting a false positive based on those reports.
  13. This should be a poll ideally. I have limited experience with many different motherboard brands, and I would be hesitant to start listing Embedded board makers. For me I get the best experience with Intel boards. Second place may be AOpen.
  14. There are a couple options. Check these two pages: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306160 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/824643
  15. Basically shut my secondary monitor off. Turning the power off doesn't count because Windows still will report that port on the video card to be active.
  16. We try to keep it decent here with an iron fist.
  17. Public Notice! Make sure you read the Forums Guidelines, especially this one:
  18. It's the end of an era friends! In the middle of last week (sometime past last Thursday, no joke) the company I work for announced that it was closing up shop. All of the systems listed in this thread are located there. I am still technically employed, but on a day-to-day basis. As a result of this event, the future of these systems are in serious question! Seeing how I will not be working there much longer, I will eventually roll my personal systems into this thread when I get a chance. Let the funeral commence! Decommissioned today: - Uncle Socks - Lioncash - Lockercheck Everything else is in limbo at the moment.
  19. I'm not sure how to look up this question. I've had experience trying to get display settings to update properly in Windows and it not working without a reboot. Rather than digging into API calls and such, I was wondering if there was a program out there already that may solve my problem. I have some programs that will NOT run if I am using multiple displays. My solution to this is to right-click on the Desktop, and go to Screen Resolution. I can choose either "extend these displays" or "show desktop only on 1". Is there a way for me to easily switch between the two settings? I am using 7PRO32 with an nVidia N220 GT.
  20. Some systems require the proper SM Bus driver to be installed for usage of devices on the USB Bus. A lot of notebooks nowadays will reroute some of the integrated devices through the USB Bus as well. A common symptom of a corrupted or missing SM Bus driver is when you plug a mouse into a USB port, Windows detects it as an unknown device and you have to manually install its driver.
  21. Welcome to the MSFN!
  22. I am unfamiliar with RT 7 Lite. You should ask about it here:
  23. My contact was unavailable at the time, but just replied to me. I will post the solution should they help. Make sure you ask permission to post a solution! A lot of info from Embedded OSes are communicated under NDA.
  24. Firstly, Check out the "Forums Guidelines" or the Rules link in my signature. We require topic titles to be a little less generic than the one you chose. As far as running programs, you want to look into using the RunSynchronousCommand object in your Unattend XML. You can see an example of its usage here:
