  1. What is the difference between INF-Intel and INF-SATA(Iastor)? Because when I manually install my ICH7-M on my Lenovo T60 and reboot and set AHCI in bios it gave me a BSOD. So what to change in order to have AHCI set in bios and booting in XP?
  2. I'm having the same problem but didn't find a solution yet
  3. Devcon and Unknown Device Identifier gave a solution! Thanks The advantage between devcon and unknown dev is that devcon can be launched under dos so you don't need a working windows to execute it where you need one with Unknown Device Identifier
  4. I'm looking for a program that can list all devices installed or not on a machine. I must have all vendor ids and device ids. Is there an application that does something like that?
  5. Is this list still up to date with the newest one? Does "%systemdrive%\tools\Drivers\RAID\iastor.inf" refer to a folder that is already on the pc or that we have to create and put the files into?
  6. Yes, the share is mapped without problem and the folder is 30mb big with 14 folders in it. I made it as little as possible to avoid any problems. In the driver share are only drivers needed for that machine nothing else. If I install manually from device manager the driver (PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2572&SUBSYS_02871014) it get installed.

  9. I shrinked down my office install and when I executes it it doesn't make any shortcuts in the start menu. When I then uninstall it and reinstall it, there is nothing that have been done? Anybody have the same problem?
  10. My Office 2003 Professional is not setup.exe but setuppro.exe. How to use your program?
  11. Can you point me out to a good guide that explains how to implement those mass storage controller?
  12. Yes, in "Path to Compressed Driver Files Location" put it like this \\Server\Drivers or in driverforge.ini I hope it help you [AutoInstall] Automatic_Install=Y Silent_Install=N Sleep_at_Start=1 Show_Device_Manager=Y Delete_Uncompressed_Drivers=Y [Drivers] Compressed_Driver_Location=\\server\drivers Uncompressed_Driver_Location=C:\Drivers [Settings] Delete_Uncompressed_Drivers=Y Restart_Machine=N Show_Device_Manager=Y Check_For_Wizard_Title=Found New Hardware Wizard Driver_Install_Method=Native Driver_Signing_Policy_Pre=IgnoreUser Driver_Signing_Policy_Post=Warn [Scripts] Pre_Script=N Pre_Script_File= Pre_Script_Show= Pre_Script_Wait= Pre_Script_Switches= Post_Script=N Post_Script_File= Post_Script_Show= Post_Script_Wait= Post_Script_Switches= Thanks, I tried it but it has no rights to go into that share without correct user. How to set a domain user and password?
  13. Did you used it with SCCM or with MDT? And at what stage does it change the HAL type?
  14. So my problem getting this BSOD from the fact that if I don't change AHCI to compatibility is related to the "Mass Storage Controller"? How can I include those controllers and add a maximum so I won't have to make each month a new image?
  15. can I install from an UNC path? If yes, how?
  16. Hi, it sure must be a wonderful program but it doesn't work here. I don't know why. I've got a network share \\ipaddress\share. All the computer models have their own folder. Can it read in subfolders? This is my xml <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <settings> <basic_configuration> <choice>automatic</choice> <window_managing> <hardware_wizard> <wizard_use>Yes</wizard_use> <wizard_title>Found New Hardware Wizard</wizard_title> <wizard_button_cancel>Cancel</wizard_button_cancel> <wizard_button_next>Next</wizard_button_next> <wizard_button_finish>Finish</wizard_button_finish> </hardware_wizard> </window_managing> <share_configuration> <use_mapping>Yes</use_mapping> <map_network_drive> <Evilshare> <share_path>\\10.198.200.10\Drivers</share_path> <domain_username>damainY\admin</domain_username> <domain_password>password</domain_password> </Evilshare> </map_network_drive> </share_configuration> <drivers> <drivers_method>New</drivers_method> <drivers_database_use>No</drivers_database_use> <drivers_database_recreate>No</drivers_database_recreate> <drivers_database_path>$ProgramDir\hardware_database.db</drivers_database_path> <drivers_directory_path>Evilshare:\</drivers_directory_path> <drivers_packed>Yes</drivers_packed> <drivers_copy>No</drivers_copy> <drivers_copy_path>C:\DriversTest</drivers_copy_path> <drivers_copy_delete>No</drivers_copy_delete> <options> <method>RegistryDevicePath</method> <registry_path>Begin</registry_path> <problem_ids>01,10,18,24,28,37,39</problem_ids> <update_all>No</update_all> <plug_and_play> <option>Internal</option> <time_to_wait>15</time_to_wait> </plug_and_play> <shutdown> <auto_reboot_when_necessary>No</auto_reboot_when_necessary> <auto_reboot_when_done>No</auto_reboot_when_done> <auto_login>Yes</auto_login> <notify_when_done>No</notify_when_done> </shutdown> <time_to_run>0</time_to_run> <force_run>No</force_run> <device_manager>No</device_manager> </options> </drivers> <log> <log_overwrite>No</log_overwrite> <log_to_file>Yes</log_to_file> <log_filename_path>$TempDir\hardwaredev.log</log_filename_path> <log_option>Simple</log_option> </log> <gui> <hide_legacy_devices>No</hide_legacy_devices> <fade_in_effect>No</fade_in_effect> <hide_views>No</hide_views> </gui> </basic_configuration> </settings>
  17. Thanks (I always use folders without spaces because there are a lot of programs who have difficulties with it) Great tool EDIT: I've got fileformatconverters.exe that I must integrate. In 'chained install' I choose the custom switch but it's not written that I have to put a space before the command. Is it " /quiet /norestart" or "/quiet /restart" right after fileformatconverters.exe? Thanks
  18. Sorry I was confusing your tool with the office shrinker. Your slipstreamer is ok, working 100% for english and dutch so far. Still must make a french cd
  19. The logs that I had are coming from an Office 2003 Professional dutch. I can give you the exact number written on the cd tomorrow (MSDN).
  20. I receive "Can not find setup.exe" when I execute office2003.exe I've got "SETUPRO.exe" and no Setup.exe in my files and folders.
  21. A language other than english can't be done with this tool? I tried with Office Dutch, office french, office german but no results. Keeps saying: 2008-10-20 08:06:53 : Error with service pack slipstream: Destination path does not contain necessary files or selected product is not supported. 2008-10-20 08:06:53 : Error with hotfix slipstream: Destination path does not contain necessary files or selected product is not supported. 2008-10-20 08:06:54 : Total slipstream time: 00:00:07
  22. I have nLite 1.4.9 and using ryanvm 1.0.1 SP3 and I never had issues to make iso files. Now when I boot with my ISO I have a BSOD. What the hell is this? My nlite integrates some networkdrivers (intel & broadcom) and ryanvm sp3. That's all Do I have to download SP3 full (.exe) and put it in nlite -> service packs and after that put ryanvm SP3 1.0.1 in updates?
  23. I've got also proofing tools to install. As I understand, I can install it with the tab "chained install" but my command is "MsiExec.exe /qb!- /i PTK.MSI TARGETDIR=C:" How do I include that?
  24. But if I add updates in the hotfixes button, it's 1 at the time. I can't give a whole list of updates? I'll look in the help file EDIT: Ok, found it and it's running now as 'admin slipstream'
