Otional Vista themes not signed
neo replied to oidicle's topic in Unattended Windows Vista/Server 2008
You have to patch some file for un-signed visual styles. Manual The Files are: Uxtheme.dll | shsvcs.dll | themeui.dll 1) Login as a user with Administrative privileges -or- have Administrative credentials ready (check under the keyboard for a slip of paper). 2) Navigate to %systemroot%\System32 3) Right-click uxtheme.dll and click properties. 4) Take ownership of the file and close dialogs. 5) Repeat steps 3 and 4 for themeui.dll and shsvcs.dll 6) Right-click uxtheme.dll and click properties. 7) Give yourself (or group) Full Control permissions and close dialogs. 8) Repeat steps 6 and 7 for themeui.dll and shsvcs.dll. 9) Rename uxtheme.dll to uxtheme.old. 10) Rename themeui.dll to themeui.old. 11) Rename shsvcs.dll to shsvcs.old. 12) Copy patched files into %systemroot%\System32 13) Reboot (yes, this is really required) Enjoy! Automatically Use VistaGlazz and run as administrator...and patch it and reboot..... If you want to integrate these patched files into install.wim then mount the image in /rw or read n write mode and replace existing one....and commit changes....into install.wim -

[ultimate Guide] Manage your Windows Server 2008 as Client OS (Windows Vista) Today Windows Vista is facing some performance and capability issues and Microsoft is cooking first service pack for Windows Vista and will release SP1 for Vista soon. That’s the latest Client OS from Microsoft.....Now move to latest Server OS of Microsoft....Its Windows Server 2008 and still in beta and hope will release in next 2 or 3 months. Now I have written a guide that helps to mange Windows Server 2008 as a client OS...The question raises Why we use Windows Server 2008 as client OS? Windows Server 2008 has already contained Service Pack 1 and it’s solving many performance and capability issues. Windows Server 2008 doesn't contain many unnecessary services, program applications and drivers that save space in HDD as well as boost the performance. Windows Server 2008 contains improved Kernel and makes Windows computing more secure and stable....! Then what are you thinking? Go ahead.... Source: Mera Windows for Full Story

Don't Format....Before this: Visit Here Download your laptop drivers from HP website and use above method to retrieve and backup your activation. Take an Retal Vista Disc and perform installation (same version that you have in laptop) activate with above method. I prefer to install Vista using Retail disc becoz....OEM Recovery takes 1 or 1.5 hours to complete installation...It installs crap or junk of un-needed softwares of OEM parter or owner. It always formats your complete harddrive...... Now your turn......

Sorry wintensive ! I have made mistake....its WIN51IC not WIN51.IC Actually your disc has been customized or messed-up...... Your disc must contains WIN51 and WIN51IC for Windows XP Home Edition; & WIN51 and WIN51IP for Windows XP Professional. Which version of Service Pack ? You have slipstreamed in your XP.
