  1. Released: 7-zip 4.20 Note this is NOT a beta, it's a FINAL! Changelog: -release version download
  2. 4096 characters limit: installation from CD (setup.exe) 1024 characters limit: installation through winnt.exe/winnt32.exe
  3. eh... I'll ignore that last post Could you please mail me that driver that does work for you? And... which version of the DP MassStorage and the DPs BASE did you use?
  4. Indeed. What version of the DP MassStorage and the DPs BASE are you using?
  5. Wrong forum... Should have been posted in the nLite forum Though, if you want to get it working properly, without more troubles, please try my DriverPack MassStorage and the DriverPacks BASE, that automatically slipstreams all mass storage drivers into your UWXPCD But then you should NOT slipstream them with nLite...
  6. Question is: did you run it properly? It seems you are new to all this, and it's very probable that you've done everything wrong.... Did you follow the guide?
  7. That wasn't even necessary But I'm still glad it worked for you
  8. I'd go for it too The 5-year warranty is !
  9. I think the recent joinings of the Baltic states and other weaker economy-states have had their influence... In fact I'm quite sure if they wouldn't have joined there would at least be a lower NO voting.
  10. Eh I'm going to ask you something probably odd to you... But could you please open your case and check what brand that graphics card is? Thanks in advance
  11. Eh they are indeed NOT LISTED in the .inf file! What brand is that? :s I'll add a hack to support your GPU, but please tell me what brand it is!
  12. Same situation as soulin here.
  13. I figured this should be moved to Device Drivers forum. So that's what I did. Topic moved to Device Drivers!
  14. If you want them readable by Windows by default, you should RECAB them, i.e. reapply the compression you've just made undone... With some extra work you can uncompress them from an other archive, preferably that would be 7-zip compression: it has the best compression ratio. (unless you're going the UHARC path, but that will take too long to (de)compress!) Check the Sticky 'SOLVED: Drivers from CD' in this forum for info on how to accomplish that!
  15. How did you start setup? Through winnt.exe/winnt32.exe? Their limit is only 1024 characters!
  16. Looks useful to me for testing purposes
  17. A HWID is something like this: 'PCI\VEN_12AB&DEV_3C4D&SUBSYS_XYZ9' You can find it using Everest Home Edition for example. Use the search function o/t board to find out more about it.
  18. Yes! Just update everything to the newest versions (I'm talking about DriverPacks then.) Then simply do the same things as if you would do else: the batch files will handle the file cleanup & updating, the whole 'chabang' (dunno how to spell that word ). You'll see
  19. It seems to be perfect to me The paths are correct, that's for sure!
  20. Could you please post your HWID? That should lead us to a solution.
  21. What versions are you using? :s That's DEFINETELY NOT V5.05.2!!! (I can see that because filenames have changed since)
  22. This one is simple: you just haven't ADDED the right mass storage controller driver to your UWXPCD The default Windows XP CD does NOT support all mass storage controllers You'll have to add newer ones yourself! Check the Device Drivers forum for more info.
  23. I guess that should be the first option, 'XPeyeZ'
  24. No, but in general the DriverPacks are simply an automation of what you can read everywhere... I won't write this info before July, i.e. before my exams are finished. If you have any specific question, you can ask it here if you want. (But please open a new topic then, mail me or add me to your MSN contacts.)
