  1. I'd like to try the winamp addon, but OP's download links don't work. Anyone got this?
  2. The .pst had a password. Removed password and it works fine, now.
  3. I'm trying automate setting up outlook profile. I created a prf using CIW. I've tried to import the .prf on a fresh install by double-clicking or running Outlook.exe /importprf \\server\share\test.prf In both cases, I get this error: Personal Folders (titlebar) 'This information service has not been configured. Select an existing file to configure, or type the name of a new file to create.' then a window pops up to browse for a PST If I browse to the pst everything works ok, but I don't want to do this interactively. I have the path to the pst in the prf [Service1] UniqueService=No Name=My Personal Folders PathToPersonalFolders=\\server\share\settings\outlook\test.pst EncryptionType=0x40000000 I tried using UNC and drive letter...no dice. What am i doing wrong? Here's the whole .prf: ;Automatically generated PRF file from the Microsoft Office Customization and Installation Wizard ; ************************************************************** ; Section 1 - Profile Defaults ; 4. I'm trying to create a winrar sfx that extracts to a directory and then runs a batch file. If the destination dir already exists, I want to delete it. I thought I could do this with Presetup: Path=C:\myapp Presetup=cmd /c rmdir /s /q C:\myapp Setup=temp\run.cmd Silent=2 Overwrite=1 Title=Myappp It doesn't delete the c:\myapp folder. What am I missing? I tried this too: Path=C:\myapp Presetup="cmd /c rmdir /s /q C:\myapp" Setup=temp\run.cmd Silent=2 Overwrite=1 Title=Myappp
  5. Is there a way to disable the reboot? I tried this: start /wait "" %CDROM%\Applications\vmware\setup.exe /s /v"ADDLOCAL=ALL DISABLE_AUTORUN=1 SERIALNUMBER=xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx DESKTOP_SHORTCUT=1 /norestart /qn " I got a "Windows Installer Installation" dialog showing the available parameters.
  6. I use svcpack.inf to to integrate post-sp2 hotfixes. After slipstreaming Bashrat's driverpacks, svcpack.inf has been replaced by svcpack.in_ Are my entries in svcpack.inf merged in svcpack.in_, or they simply lost? Thanks, Woody
  7. Machine is Dell Dimension 4600 w/ Ati Radeon 8500. The graphics hardware id is: PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_514C&SUBSYS_7149174B&REV_80\4&1246FE7B&0&0008: RADEON 8500 Series Using following driverpacks: Chipset_V511, CPU_V506, Graphics_A_V511, Graphics_B_V5111, LAN_V5101, MassStorage_V510, Sound_A_V511, Sound_B_V511, WLAN_V511 During XP gui-mode setup, I get BSOD w/ following error: *** STOP: 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0xF6DB0515, OXF7CB260, OXF7CBBF5C) *** ati2mtag.sys - Address F6DB0515 base at F6CF2000, DateStamp 4362e89f I removed both graphics driverpacks, and it installed without a hitch . Woody hwids.txt
  8. Upgrading to BASE v5.10.5 fixed the "missing Si3132r5.sys" problem, but now ATI video drivers not installed.
  9. Using bts driverpack base 5.10.4 with the following driver packs: DriverPack_Chipset_V5072.7z DriverPack_CPU_V506.7z DriverPack_Graphics_A_V5101.7z DriverPack_Graphics_B_V510.7z DriverPack_LAN_V5101.7z DriverPack_MassStorage_V510.7z DriverPack_Sound_A_V508.7z DriverPack_Sound_B_V5043.7z DriverPack_WLAN_V507.7z I slipstreamed with method 2. When I boot, I get error: The entry "Si3132r5.sys" in the [SourceDisksFiles] section of the INF is corrupt or missing. Anyone else experienced this? Thanks, Woody
  10. I tried BTS_DriverPacks_BASE_V508 today, and for the first time, I received this error: "Windows cannot find 'C:\D\BTS_DPs_finish.cmd'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search." The message popped up while my GuiRunOnce -> command0 was running; [GuiRunOnce] command0 = "%systemdrive%\install\batch.bat" command1 = "%systemdrive%\D\BTS_DPs_finish.cmd" command2 = "%systemroot%\codecs.cmd" I looked in root of C:, and error is correct. There is no D subdirectory. It should be there though. Because it is under \\..\UAXP\$OEM$\$1\D I think BTS_DPs_finish.cmd calls BTS_DPs_cleanup.cmd which deletes %SystemDrive%\D. Is BTS_DPs_finish.cmd being called somehow before GuiRunOnce? Woody
  11. Anything I can try? I'd like to use one set of drivers that has most compatabilitiy...
  12. Yes, they're connected correctly. All are connected to nvraid ports (sata 1-4 on my DFI board). Nothing is connected to Sil3114. I ran nforce_6.66 driver pack and drives showed up. I went back to these versions: DriverPack_Chipset_V507.7z DriverPack_MassStorage_V5071.7z voila , it worked fine...
  13. After running xp setup I can only see the drive that windows is installed on. Can't see other drive or optical. System is nForce4. Both hd on sata. Plextor 712sa on sata. Using these driverpacks via Method 2 (don't save): DriverPack_Chipset_V5072.7z DriverPack_CPU_V506.7z DriverPack_Graphics_A_V5071.7z DriverPack_Graphics_B_V507.7z DriverPack_LAN_V5073.7z DriverPack_MassStorage_V5073.7z DriverPack_Sound_A_V507.7z DriverPack_Sound_B_V5043.7z DriverPack_WLAN_V507.7z At first boot, I did get a Windows file protection warning, but I thought it was from one of the apps in guiRunOnce -> "%systemdrive%\install\batch.bat". Could it have been related to one of the nforce drivers? 14. I don't actually run anything directly. I create a bootable dvd using Microsoft Corporation.img and it starts what I assume is winnt.exe when it boots. It seems I recall reading elsewhere that the limit is 4096. Under what scenario is that limit in effect? Woody
  15. After running BTS_DriverPacks_BASE_V5052 Method 1, I copied everything in UWXPCD_ROOT to my boot dvd root dir and ran RUN_ME.cmd. I burned my unattended dvd and tried it on a test laptop. Didn't get far. As soon as the dvd began booting, I got error: "Line 8 of the INF File \I386\winnt.sif is invalid setup cannot continue" Line 8 in my winnt.sif is OemPnPDriversPath (see attach). The string is 2028 characters. I believe that is less than XP's limit, so why the error? thanks, Woody WINNT.SIF
