That reg key would be ignored. We'll have to find another way.
-
@Gouki: yes it's safe to do that. But I wonder what's causing this :s @all: does anyone else have this problem too? The problem MUST be inside BTS_DPs_cleanup.cmd, located in %SystemDrive%\D after the installation, on the disc in $OEM$\$1\D. The content of that file: CMDOW @ /HID RD /S /Q %SystemDrive%\D That means that it deletes the folder where it resides in. This should be working just fine, right? (not so sure anymore :s)
-
I doubt that would solve anything. You're the first one to have this problem. As in my reply in the DPs BASE thread, my question is if you modified the cleanup process in any way?

DriverPacks BASE V5.05.2
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to Bâshrat the Sneaky's topic in The General Stuff
@mark49: links fixed in the new, unreleased DPs BASE. About that 'tm' character: I know about that, but it's just a simple copy/paste from the driver file. I tend to keep the original filenames I find there... @Powerhouse & yoz7120: I really don't understand those errors. I'd like to repeat my question: could either of you please post your dosnet.inf and txtsetup.sif files? (attach a zipped version) @Powerhouse: but the onboard sound is working just fine, right? Could you please post A) the EXACT name of the SoundBlaster sound card and B) the HWID of that SB sound card? Thanks. @muiz: you MUST be doing SOMETHING wrong! You really didn't change anything? Could you post a screenshot of your folder structure? Is your %Windir%\system32 protected? Does the path contain spaces? @Gouki: that 'cleanup.cmd question' is NOT included in the DPs BASE, it's a small modification of Ghostrider @Powerhouse: huh? It shouldn't be system dependant. Did you modify the cleanup process? @imdos: thanks, but I wonder if those removed quotes would make any difference? I don't think so... I've tested robocopy both with and without quotes, same results... -
DriverPacks BASE V5.05.2
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to Bâshrat the Sneaky's topic in The General Stuff
I'm sorry for my absence lately, but I've been very busy, and I still am. Untill the end of June, I won't have much time, I'm afraid. But I'll do my best! I really HOPE I can update all DPs this weekend! I'll reply to all your posts now. -
Well... considering that second screenshot, this software isn't up-to-date... Why don't you just use nLite? No offense to that program, but I think nLite offers a better UI and a more stable implementation of creating an unattended Windows XP CD automatically... Just use nLite, then apply my DriverPacks manually (which takes only one minute, when you use method 2). That's what I recommend.

BTS' DriverPacks + RyanVM's Update Pack
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to cybpsych's topic in The General Stuff
I still have to update the DriverPacks BASE, I know!!! But it's very busy lately, which is also the reason why I haven't been replying for several days and why I didn't reply to all posts before that... I hope I can update everything this weekend, but I can't promise that! :'( -
Eh... never heard of this 'maxxpsoft unattended software' :s... I'll check it when I get home.
-
Thanks for that information, I'll try to figure out what's going wrong. Of course I'll also check what happened to those files!
-
I agree, not stunning, but still... as he posted, he didn't say for what he used that system... And a printserver doesn't need much power, true, but a web-/fileserver would never end up on such a slow system here! (not that I have a web-/fileserver)

Unable to format HD during installation
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to Telenut's topic in The General Stuff
A MassStorage controller is a PATA/SATA/SCSI/SAS/RAID controller. What motherboard & chipset does the laptop have? That might be enough. -
Unable to format HD during installation
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to Telenut's topic in The General Stuff
This is really strange... Maybe the MassStorage controller isn't supported? Which one does that laptop have? -
Can a virtual image of vmware that created on amd?
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to lts's topic in Hardware Hangout
JMA is correct. It's all emulated, it doesn't matter. As long you won't be using it on a 64 bit Edition of Windows, it should keep on working fine. -
True, that's my mistake. That's the slowest system I've seen so far, running Windows XP . One question: did the control panels for the sound cards install?

DriverPacks BASE V5.05.2
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to Bâshrat the Sneaky's topic in The General Stuff
I don't understand why it's asking for Si3112.sys, because I don't add it to txtsetup.sif/dosnet.inf... Could you please attach your txtsetup.sif & dosnet.inf files? (Attach, not post!) -
DriverPack MassStorage V5.05
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to Bâshrat the Sneaky's topic in The General Stuff
WTF mark49... :o! You keep on amazing me lately!!! DriverPack MassStorage is the latest one that I have to update... With some luck, all updates should be online by tomorrow evening. -
Where do you find that driver? At least it's not officially released, so it's just an ordinary beta driver, I suppose?

Driverpack Sound A V5.05
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to Bâshrat the Sneaky's topic in The General Stuff
Also for this DP the updating process has been completed. I'll release all updated DriverPacks at the same time, as usual. -
Driverpack Sound B V5.04.3
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to Bâshrat the Sneaky's topic in The General Stuff
@midiboy: I cannot get them extracted! I've been trying for more than half an hour, without any success! Could you help me with this one? @mark49: thanks again. Your latest posts are results of very hard work and are very much appreciated! But how do you do it? I hope you aren't comparing manually? I suppose you have (written) a utility that does it fully automatical? -
You DID slipstream my DriverPacks after nLite & RyanVM's UpdatePacks, right? Though these errors should never exist :s Please try to slipstream to a clean UWXPCD, if this works, then redo your entire UWXPCD. (shouldn't be too much work... as you're using nLite, UpdatePacks and DriverPacks)
-
Please provide me with these details: 1) which method (1/2/3); 2) which finishing method (GUIRunOnce/RunOnceEx); 3) Keep the Drivers on/off; 4) which DriverPacks; 5) what hardware specifications?
-
Maybe I should add this note, but currently the DriverPacks only work with Windows XP 32-bit (Though there are some exceptions, but that's a minority.) But if I can, I'll help you out. For that, I'll need to know your sound card's type... In this case, the type of the Dell PC would be enough.
-
1) Please clarify this one, using English with correct reading marks! 2) Please post the HWID of your Marvell Yukon controller.

DriverPacks BASE V5.05.2
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to Bâshrat the Sneaky's topic in The General Stuff
@Powerhouse: that was to solve an incompatibility issue. You shouldn't change anything!!! The second thingie: that's very normal. You can even check Intel's documentation for confirmation. -
HUH WTF is this... :s Did you do ANYTHING special while slipstreaming the DriverPacks? Are you applying this on a clean UWXPCD share?
