I'm thinking the same... I'll change the 'optional' -info in the next release.

I may not be able to respond to e-mails, PM's or posts for at least one day, probably longer, because my PC is acting strange. Well, in fact it's my Windows... So ATM I'm making back-ups of everything and quickly building a new, basic UWXPCD. (just SP2 + updates + DriverPacks) Cya soon!

@swgreed & Phoenyx: thanks! @iSmart: I don't understand the point... You are saying that you I should only add the RAID drivers for the 3112 and 3114 chips, leave them in uncompressed form AND remove all the subsystems?

You could do the following: -add drivers like you're doing now - from a batchfile: IF EXIST %windir%\system32\driverfile.sys START /WAIT Setup.exe /switches Replace driverfile.sys with a driverfile that DOES get installed. If it's found, the setup will start and everything will get installed. (don't forget to add the correct switches to achieve a silent installation of the setup)

RogueSpear is definetely right. There's alot more behind it, which makes the whole alot more complicated... If it was very easy, I'd have done it a long time ago..

Hi everyone, I've started this thread to stop the storm of topics raging in the Device Drivers forum lately. Please post everything concerning my DriverPacks in this topic, except for specific DriverPack related topics (like Sound or WLAN). So here you can post problems with my DriverPacks, your feedback on my system of updating, or how you think I can improve the batchfiles or the methods, anything. I will keep track of the best ideas (those who might/will be implemented) in this post. Go ahead! Will certainly be added in (one of the next) release(s): [DP Graphics A] support for ATI Radeon Mobility series[DP Graphics B] support for ALI onboard graphicsTo be implemented in the future:adding BTS_DP.cab which contains all driver files (comparable with Driver.cab and SP2.cab), complicated addition/conversion. Thank you very much! It certainly is an interesting approach, but I indeed don't have the time to test it... Have to fix several things, update DP MassStorage, improve instructions, add FAQ to the website, other DriverPacks, another method, etc...

Hmm... Then it must be some multi-boot dvd problem. And that's not my territory, never made one... I'm sorry. I'm sure someone else will help you out.

I will definetely try out that option in the future, but for now my goal is to get the current DriverPacks working. After that simplification and other methods will come.

I don't remember exactly, but I think it was something with RAID arrays. I really don't remember it exactly...

Please check the I386 folder for the file aec6280.sys. Post here whether you could find it or not.

1. You did not change any settings in your BIOS, nor did you mess with the hardware? 2. Are you sure you slipstreamed the drivers correctly? For MassStorage drivers: http://greenmachine.msfnhosting.com/READING/addraid.htm For all the other drivers: http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/drivers.htm

1. extract files with 7-zip/WinRAR/whatever 2. download i6comp.exe, place it in %windir%\system32, and execute the command i6comp.exe x data1.cab on the data1.cab you've extracted. Now you will find all driver files (as well as some stuff you won't need)
