  1. No, you aren't supposed to do anything else. It seems you did just fine. This is an error I've seen in the past as well, but I don't remember the solution, if there even was one. It seems this error only comes up in some very RARE cases. But if you can, please try this: apply my DriverPacks onto a vanilla Win XP share, i.e. a version without SP2 slipstreamed, nor ANYTHING else. You can test it in VMware/VirtualPC of course. This would be very helpful to track down the exact cause of this issue! EDIT: topic moved into the correct forum!
  2. It is the regular 71.84WHQL driver? The official one? Or a hacked one?
  3. Please share the exact name (maybe also the HardwareID?) of those soundcards! This is an error that's new to me... And which version did you download from Realtek?
  4. Yes, there are a couple missing SoundMAX drivers, as stated in the '[next] ...' topic. And... this is GREAT news I will add the driver you tested!
  5. @turbocmp: thanks Very useful info, did not know about those things @Mr.J!m: yes, of course there are more occurences for W2k! But if I remember well, the Marvell Yukon driver was only for WXP?
  6. Hmm... VERY interesting, Dynaletik But one thing isn't clear to me: did you add BOTH the raid and raid5 driver, or just the raid5 one? (SiI3114r5 driver)
  7. 1) ok 2) I guess the original filename is stored inside? I don't know about that. And yes, Windows automatically deals with cabbed files, no files have to be edited to 'activate' that. P.S.: I am NOT a professional programmer: all the batch programming skills I know have been gathered from this site and from some sites I found through google. I don't know many of the advanced commands. For example the batch files to compress all drivers haven't been written by me, but by djbe...
  8. When you're using DP Graphics (A/B) or Sound (A/B), you still need some files, to get the control panels installed
  9. Nice I should start some kind of 'database' with success full installs I guess But the goal is to have errorless packs, so that dbase would only be useful for a while... But still: thanks You're also using DP MassStorage?
  10. The bandwidth is no longer a problem. It was a bug in the php code that caused all this traffic... Site is back online... And the bug has been fixed a while ago, but it had already used too much traffic (36 GB for just the site + DPs BASE download, while otherwise it's in the 12-14GB range)
  11. Then maybe this one too? NonDriverSigninPolicy=Ignore
  12. Errr... Why would you want to reply to a topic that hasn't been opened FOR MORE THAN 7 MONTHS????
  13. Try my DriverPacks An important note: it seems that there are problems with some SoundMAX controllers used in Dell computers. You might want to add those. Use the tutorial 'how to make your own DriverPack' and you will have done this job in at most one day
  14. Oh, yes ALWAYS include the .cat file! I'll add that to the tutorial! EDIT:updated!
  15. Yes, you SHOULD see them loading...
  16. Hmm... Dutch too? Dammmnnn Time that I test it myself again... But I don't have the time atm... Will do it ASAP!
  17. Hehe Perceive the total anarchy B) There you guys see why I haven't made the switch yet
  18. Which Intel board? One of the 9xx series? P.S.: I'll drop you a line when I get there
  19. I know this is an issue that needs some attention. But I don't have the time ATM... Please have some patience (at least two weeks)...
  20. @Val3r10: hmm... I thought this one was supported? I'll verify it when I get home (at school now). Could you please post your hardwareID? @Garak: thanks for your confirmation. But I'm afraid I won't have the necessary time the coming two weeks. After that I'll have plenty of time, so it will be fixed then...
  21. 1) Why put it inthere? Because that is the standard way... If someone thinks it's something of Windows XP by default, then he is a non-advanced user, and therefor he won't care, if he is however, then he can change it to his liking... Another advantage of putting it there: cmdow.exe can be used from anywhere, from any other batch file! 2) Yes, OF COURSE the MassStorage drivers file in the I386 folder have always been compressed... Back then, it wasn't sure if it would work, additionally it takes alot of time to compress all of the drivers. And again additonally: I did not know how to compress all drivers automatically, without having to enter the subfolder to each path... (no, I'm no professional programmer...)
  22. Hi everyone, I just wanted to share this: I've started the conversionl of my HTML 4.01 + CSS site to a complete php driven site, fully XHTML 1.0 Strict and CSS compliant. I'm doing this because, once it's done, it will be ALOT easier to maintain everything (now most things by hand: edit this and that blabla, you know it), AND it will be alot easier to add things like new tutorials (the current KB sucks). Another nice note I FINALLY received the verification code of PayPal, so I guess you will be able to donate through Paypal from tomorrow, if not, Wednessday. Well.. that's it .. or not... I want to make another announcement: my exams are coming up next week... So I won't have much time this and next week. After that I have a two week during vacation. Let's hope most, if not ALL issues will be fixed during those two weeks! Now I really am finished talking! Cya guys around!
  23. Err... I guess... But I don't know... I never used Sysprep...
