  2. Lemonzest, that, yes I saw, gonna fix. I thought you ment on something more serious.
  3. Be careful, this one works great However every connection with real life is totally by accident and mistakes may happen, thank you. Download at vLite.net.

    Vista VS XP

Since it's same as XP vs 2k there is no reason to get hostile towards it, eventually majority will use Vista same as they did with XP because new pcs will have it built-in and can handle it. p.s. if someone said the same in this thread since it's too obvious i apologize for not reading it in detail
  5. dexter.inside, for dual core utilization you need more than that, program has to have 2 parallel threads. On mine vLite takes 50% so the answer is no.
  6. Tried that and some error was present, gonna retry again if I see that it's possible with MS tools. What are you saying about .NET 1.0, install it if you need it, Vista has only 2.0 which should be backwards compatible. You'll get better answers at the Vista sub-forum.
  7. Good idea and attitude. Have fun, I'll go step by step from the other end, meet you at the border
  8. What part of IE7? Integration for x64 is fixed, wmp maaybe, 1khz no.
  9. Haven't read the topic yet since I'm still in the adding mode. Little info for the next version since it seems some of you need it: Next one is focused on the removals and some important fixes, don't know the exact date as it has to be tested and translated first.
  10. No waaay... If I start support addons that will have to be done from the ground up. It is possible even now but I want to remove more first and make at least basic unattended options. But if you just want to run app install then we need unattended support first.
  11. In a few days, maybe tomorrow. If it doesn't don't blame me, I'm just trying to be polite
  12. I don't and that tweak is no longer in nLite.
  13. dexter.inside, #1, I fixed the Media Center for the next version, it wasn't the .net, you can see in full Vista that those 2 old .NET versions are same as after vLite. #2, also not true #3, Ok, done #4, Gonna check #5, WER parts are left because needed #6, also not true since I don't remove them, how about you research a little better before posting, I must say when I saw so detailed report I thought it will be true...but it turns out you're kinda trigger-happy. Anyway it's appreciated, we did fixed few things.
  14. dexter.inside, nice, I'll review all of that. Mcfly000, I presume you used CDs there, this control I'm using has some incompatibilities with few DVDs, they are working on it. Jeronimo, I ment on some illegal activities so better to put it aside.
  15. MFCK, ok I'll check Mcfly000, well it could be but also try to get CDImage.exe somewhere from the net and make ISO with it, use boot image from vlite's root folder Hanschke, fixed in the upcoming version dexter.inside, thanks. And I know what you did last summer.

    Vista VS XP

Marthax, #2, what do you mean no RAID support? Are you referring to the built-in software controller which Windows Server has, dynamic drives from Storage Management or the real motherboard - PCI controller support? I ask because I have Intel P965 chipset which is SATA-only and I use RAID-0 without any additional drivers on Vista (and setup) without any issues which is not what I can say for XP out of the box. I admit I had issues with VIA Raid controller and Vista on older motherboard during restart (had to use the restart button every time). #1, which is mainly UAC issue I agree. And amen to the Network Connections remark, I get lost at this new one...well we will get used to it eventually then we'll see which is more productive. #3, SuperCache would be more appropriate name. Probably one of the reasons why Vista seems like it needs so much memory. But at the same time I like it because it gives the more faster feeling to the Windows usage. I just hope it knows how to clear that fast when mem is needed. tap52384, where did you hear about DX10 for XP please? I'm pretty sure it's not true, do you mean on that false DX9L interpretations?
  17. Try once without any addons then we'll see how to proceed.
  18. Someone please try this list from the news post "multilanguage support" at http://www.vlite.net/ Don't deviate from it, you can only select less, not more, during testing on the clean installation image.

    XPero's utilities

    Wohoo...Elvis just got kids
  20. This is too important until the next version, if you have error 5 remove read only attributes...blah. http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...mp;#entry595204
  21. Stead, LOL and THANK YOU...now I finally get that image error 5 !
  22. Nameless One, I'm guessing you integrated IE7 with nLite into x64? That bug I was fixing yesterday and it may have been fixed, under testing now. Bad news is that you will have to reinstall to fix it, either don't integrate IE7 (only problem in x64 wow64) or wait new version and do integrate IE7. gdogg, I don't want to aim for the sensitive stuff like DRM, Activation and similiar.
  23. Yes I know, it happened to me too. In my case was a bad DVDRW. But full erase (or new media) and cdimage will guarantee success

    Windows Live Onecare

Windows Management Instrumentation? If you haven't removed it then attach your preset.
  25. Greg00pl, in that case please find CDIMAGE.EXE on the net, copy it into the nLite folder and remake ISO (no need to apply changes, just ISO page if you already have modified folder) with ISO Engine set to CDImage. You can also use mkisofs.exe too. Let me know how it goes. Also try burning at lower speeds and if it's RW try full erase.
