try the dsl filters maybe dsl signal is interfering though it should be vice versa also try another phone cable.. it might just be that easy...

i don't get your question but let me reply as far as i understood ok go grab virtual pc or vmware then by using any iso program (ultraiso, winiso, magiciso, etc) make a bootable image of the bootable record. then open up either vpc or vmware to test the boot. u won't need a floppy like this. other than that if u're trying to put the bootable floppy into a cd so it boots refer to www.nu2.nu (bart's)

well its obviously a virus check symantec's webpage for individual apps on that virus to remove it webscan might just be finding it but not attempting to remove it? does it say its removed? also update all the definitions, so liveupdate nav update pestpatrol. but if its a virus u shouldn't need pestpatrol

i get that problem often bc of explorer.exe not being able to close things properly so i've been using www.sysinternals.com 's process explorer dl it simply open the program type in the name of the file(or folder) u're trying to delete (in find ctrl+F) it should find a process, don't kill the process just kill the handle. if u cannot find it try searching the dll's with (ctrl +g)... hope it helps u

okay first get rid of that friend then charge him sue him make him call compaq. ask yourself what u have learned from this experience? now u say that the hdd is working on another comp i'd test all other components as well. if u bought it from compaq they should have a warranty. tell them it broke after power outage or something. or say my dog ate it or tell them that i broke it, okay that works. keep us posted i so much wonder what got f'ed up (btw sorry to have heard this, but i think its a little funny)
