  1. I can confirm this issue. Mapped a network drive same day as fresh nlited install. Now I can't access the drive nor map new network drives..... hmmmm what gives?
  2. Found some issues - made a seperate thread for it: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=95620
  3. Been using nlite for quite some time now, so decided to give 1.3.0.4 final a try. Haven't used nlite in +4 months before that, and last I used was 1.2.1. Some issues I find in 1.3.0.4: The unattended page needs more explanation. I see that some of my (and prob other's) suggestions were put in there, network setttings and user creation. There is some confusion about the difference between "Fullname" and "Description" on the Users page and on the "Owner and Network ID" page - they somehow seem to conflict. And in which files are the User creation done/implemented - if I wanna check the data manually? And which setting do I need to use on Unattended page to get UnattendSwitch="Yes"? (It is always "No", causing a prompt during setup in FullUnattended-mode) I noticed that the "NLDRV"-folder is NOT copied over to the windows installation in 1.3.0.4 like it was with 1.2.1 - dissregardless of whether or not I chose "Delete after install" on the driver integration page - is that supposed to be like that? Also, when removing MediaPlayer, is it neccessary to keep 5 copies of the same file "wmvcore.dll" in the folders "Emerald", "WMP9L", "WMP9NL","WMP10L", "WMP10NL" ? Somehow related to HFINT.DAT file in SVCPACK folder? [FixesInstalled] KB923689 [KB923689] Emerald\wmvcore.dll WMP10L\wmvcore.dll WMP10NL\wmvcore.dll WMP9L\wmvcore.dll WMP9NL\wmvcore.dll And has anyone else experienced that hotfix and addons entries are duplicated in the svcpack.ini file?
  4. aaah.... good point! DOH!....(downloaded the wrong file...? ) * with embarrasment*
  5. No need to remove it entirely - it can be "disabled"
  6. Hmm seems there excists different versions of this file. Using the one called "WindowsXP-KB922760-x86-ENU.exe" it direct integrates just fine in nLite...
  7. I created installers for both - they seemed to work. Just would be cool if nLite could handle them directly...they are simple msi installers...
  8. Use ryan's what? Updatepack - no thanks. It way to much unneccessary stuff in it for my taste.
  9. Hmmm....it is not possible to integrate this hotfix with Nlite? Actually both "msxml6-KB927977-enu-x86.exe" and "msxml4-KB927978-enu.exe" gives me probplems. I just get a popup in Nlite: Windows ® Installer. I have to create a switchless installer for them?
  10. Is there really no way to integrate this hotfix using nLite? (don't wanna mess around with HFslip....) "IE6.0sp1-KB922760-Windows2000-x86-ENU.exe" Also, it would be cool if it was possible to have two (or more) different versions of nLite installed at the same time, so that one can test... Does not seem to be possible at the time... I tried to install in two diff dirs, but second install seemed to recognise first install, so cancelled it..
  11. Hmmm is it me, or is it not possible to customize a vista 64bit install using vlite in XP 32bit? I don't get an option to change the architecture...? Ahh,,, my bad...think I used the wrong iso think it only has 32 bit versions
  12. What I do is to sort them by "KB" number..so the ones with the lowest number appear first - they should also be the oldest ones, right? The date field is f***ed - inconsistent
  13. Yes can "Just" enable it again after the installation... (maybe this should be an option in Nlite Nuhi?) I do it via cmdlines.txt - using a cmd bat file and a reg file Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] "SfcDisable"=dword:00000000
  14. Thnx, curious, how did you find the switchless installer options? And, did you include the hotfix+reg entry (WindowsXP-KB896256-v3-x86-ENU.exe) + Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Throttle] "PerfEnablePackageIdle"=dword:00000001
  15. Just creating a new iso using 1.2.1, and noticed (again) that "Disable File MRU-list" appears twice - both uner "Explorer" section and "Privacy section"
  16. Cool, but will wait for one with 64bit support before trying out this new wondertool Keep up the good work!

    Delete

I have nvidia cards, and it still happens to me with 1.2.1
  18. Hmm april 1st is so far away.. You have got to be kidding!?? (I hope) If you really wanna install an ancient OS, take win98 or win2000 - winMe is the worst OS MS ever made in "newer" times
  19. Somehow that didn't work for me Installed 64Bit ultimate version without a serial - can't wait for Nlite to support Vista - so much to trim down
  20. Cool, thnx for the quick fix I had to make a new iso using 1.0.1 in the meatime thought, but will test 1.2.1 soon.
  21. And now nlite f***ed up my windows installation Got a dotnet2 error... rebooted, and now get a message saying that windows in not properly installed.... WTF!!! Even more weird.. just loaded a 1 month old image file - but windows now acts as just before the f***up 5 min ago.......wonder what the hell is happening... It kept my desktop.ini and other windows settings . and some are mixed with the old setup... a total f***up has happened
  22. Ahh, I did not know that...sorry Hmmm... using 1.2 final I cannot get it to integrate dotnet and java installers like I used to be able to with ealier versions... Been a while since I've used Nilte last time, but pretty sure it worked with these installers in the past...
  23. Also experienced this crash Plus Nlite chocked when trying to apply java and dotnet switchless installers
  24. I have a feature request: Would be cool to have an option to tick off that would automatically "answer yes" to keeping the newer files when integration hotfixes that have the same files but different version. So you don't have to answer for each and every time ...
