1stly make your desired logon screen ( logonui.exe) if you dont know how to make it...then download any logon file from www.deviantart.com!!! then apply MODIFYPE & MAKECAB on logonui.exe ( see www.unattended.msfn.org ) so now u have compressed "logonui.ex_" ok...Now go to the I386 Folder in XP CD!!! and paste this file there....it will be overwritten on previous one!! Done!!!

ummm....since vista launched.....there are many days gone...but no-one posted such a method that we can make unattended installation for Vista!! vista also having I386 folder ( i dont know actually..caz i havent Vista..but as told someone to me ) so cant we have unattended installation method for it???

@all older members.....have u tried to search "windows genuine" in search bar....search for it...and tell in which page u find ur answer...its hard to find such a post ..which really one need...search will give many results...so it is hard to find!! new memebers just search 5-6 pages...and these are if "sort by date" then when it reaches about 1-1.5 yrs old topics....new members think that now his desired topic isnt exist..so they make a new topic.!! thats it..it mean not that they havent search!! and afterall...moderators work is to help members...not just to BAN members!!! and instead of such replies as " USE SEARCH BAR, GOOGLE IS YOUR FRIEND..ETC" cant u give them direct link ( as u know that this post is already exist ) of the post which he want?? one thing mods. can do...just merge the topics if already exist!!

i have replaced shell32.dll file..with my desired icons ..its working ok with administrator account....but while i logon with another accounts...there are only default windows icons for it!!!what to do now?

i think the biggest problem is "image location".. caz suppose u have images inj your "$OEM$\$1\Images\" folder....then how will u define your path???? we cant set path as "x:\$OEM$\$1\Images\" ( where "x" is your CD rom) because setup.hta will not identify path of CD rom...because for all users ...CD rom path is not same as "x" ...it may be "y" or "z" etc!!! for example....i have cd drive as "H"...so my "images" folder will in "H:\$OEM$\$1\images\" ..ok so my path of images in "filelist.js" is "H:\$OEM$\$1\images\images1.jpg", "H:\$OEM$\$1\images\images2.jpg", "H:\$OEM$\$1\images\images3.jpg", ............. etc.. but when i will put the cd into another CD drive " I" ...then this path will be useless...caz now CD drive path is "I"......so it wont work like this way...we have to use variables like "%systemdrive%" OR "%CDROM%"...etc...but i think this type of variables are not supported by JAVA SCRIPTS!!! m i right??

shell32.dll is the main source of system icons....just copy that file from SYSTEM32....another source of icons is EXPLORER.EXE which is in WINDOWS directory ( explorer.exe contains icons of DESKTOP items like MY COMPUTER, MY NETWORK PLACES etc...while SHELL32.DLL contains icons for rest of all ) so just copy these both files after applying your pack....then modifype & makecab on it!!! and replace these both files with older one in your unattended windows cd's I386 Directory!! You have done now ummm...i think u should use any ICONS related software to change your current system icons...it iwll modify your SHELL32.DLL...then you can copy modified SHELL32.DLL !!!

i think it is SVCpack!!! it is totaly silent ( if proper silent switches applied )

if u just have .ICO files...then u have to edit shell32.dll file!!!

you should read this http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/64/ no...its not affect file size so much.....makecab have also have a compression option that which type of compression we want...lower, medium Or higher compression!!!( like 7zip )..we all using default medium compression mathod to recompress shell32.dll file with makecab...thats why it gets bigger than original one!!

you should try to find your icons in "explorer.exe" located into "WINDOWS" directory....some icons depends on explorer.exe file!!! edit or open your explorer.exe file within reshacker ( or any other resource editor )...you will find your icons there.. >>AMIT<<

you should modify shell32.dll file using reshacker OR anyother resource editor......then find your specific icon to change in shell32.dll ..replace it with your icon....you have done!!!!... if you want to apply all the icons on your customization pack....then it will be so hard to modify your shell32.dll file...caz it will take so much time to be modified...so just do one thing....1st install that customization pack into your current system.....then after applying it..copy your current shell32.dll file from SYSTEM32 directory....and apply modifype & makecab on it!!!

which version of windows xp u r running???? caz not all versions have compressed files...mean it is different in OEM, Retail, Pro version.!!! ( as i havent winntbbu.dll OR winntbbu.dl_ file in my I386 directory )!! you can just replace your decompressed ntoskrnl.exe file with your desired bootskin!!!
