  3. Integrate firadisk or winvblock drivers to XP install media. Don't use a (virtual) floppy disk.
  4. What's the whole contents of Batch.cmd? How is this Batch.cmd launched? Which RunOnce command do you use? What's the contents of %Source% at run time? Add a echo to Batch.cmd.

Which boot manager do you use at 64g USB/eSATA Kanguru drive? ISO emulation support basic access, at GUI part you have to support ISO file too. Reconfigure your PE files.
  6. Well, it took 10 days to describe strange conditions.Clarify your requirements. Why do you need a 1 gb active hidden partition? Do you like to use a boot manager? Set second partition active and install XP. After XP installation configure boot manager at first partition and set first partition active.
  7. Windows XP install does reqruie access to active partition, hence the previous error message. Don't use a hidden active partition.
  8. Start again., read messges at install. Create a partition manually at installation. Install XP. At installed XP goto disk management and create more partititons.

  10. Mosst likely that's a hardware error, no software errror. use another hardware: burner, media or read drive.
  11. Can you describe current work flow? Which OS do you boot? How are integrated mass storage drivers? Which OS do you like to deploy. Do you boot the same OS as you deploy?   12. Which USB HDD do oyu use? Which storgage capacity goes to hard disk? Do you use several partitions? BIOS routines are used to read files at textmode part. Some BIOS limit access to first part only, example first 128GB only.
  13. How do you prepare USB hard disk? REad the FAQ and replace ntdetect.com.
  14. Both chipset are from the same manufactuer, hence equal or similiar drivers are used. Both hardware similiar, actually a ICH8 and ICH7 controller. W7 x64 support both out of the box. Did you install a newer iastor driver at G965 motherboard? Just replace the hardware and boot. No need for reinstall.
  15. @jonas Wlhich hardware do yo use? Seems to be a strange BIOS. Try map fd1 too. #(fd1) optional, required at some BIOS map --mem /Inst/XP_INST.IMA (fd1)
  16. A average BIOS dosn't support this. Some BIOS boot CD-ROM partition only. Some BIOS boot data MBR only, no specific partition select. Some BIOS allow CD-ROM or data MBR, no specific partition to select.

  18. This does work.Beside hal there is kernel, chipset, cpu and custom drivers. Old and new hardware is importand. A backup would be nice too.

  20. No, there dosn't exist CurrentControlSet at hard disk. Don't apply CurrentControlSet within a .reg file to a offline windows. Read the file fixide.cmd.
  21. Adapt this method: don't use a (virtual) floppy integrate the mass storage driver into the ISO file
  22. Run regedit, load system registry file, apply settings, unload registry.

  25. @tonyzg Yes, a existing a:\txtsetup.oem turns setupldr.bin to this internal defaults: a kind of unattended installation.
