  1. Which Windows 7 do you like to install? How do you build the ISO image? Which files size goes to final ISO image? Which file name and directory do you use for Office 2010? Which file system do you use? Do you use UDF only ? Do you use ISO9660 UDF bridge? Which install.wim file size do you use? Adding a 2.6GB file \install\empty26.bin and a default install.wim oscdimg.exe -u2 -m -b.\boot\etfsboot.com . ..\w7.iso DVD does boot, setup finds DVD and installation does finish. In addition: try bootorder.txt, sort sources\install.wim too. Oscdimg Command-Line Options
  2. @pleXtOr 1) no idea 2) Emergency Management Services Technical Reference bcdedit.exe /store %BCD% /deletevalue {default} EMS 3) bcdedit.exe /store %BCD% /deletevalue {bootmgr} timeout
  3. VirtualBox virtual controller dosn't match a real controller. Ask VirtualBox to update virtual controller. Don't use VirtualBox to test SATA drivers currently. Use real hardware.
  4. Thanks for report. Other tools may work nonetheless, however more difficult to support. Try BCDedit.exe /store %BCD% /delete {memdiag} /cleanup /f
  5. I can't read example. Post/attach a bcdedit output. Does ISO image contains a file bootfix.bin?Message may relate to that file. Press a key to boot, do it. No. Try the oscdimg command line.
  6. How do you do this? File is not found. Most likely a BIOS isssue.Try another approach. Read http://www.msfn.org/board/forum/157-install-windows-from-usb/
  7. Thanks, virtual CD-ROM survive PNP.Install Windows XP from ISO on UFD to SATA hard disk by karyonix http://reboot.pro/13967/ I'm using title 1 Start Windows XP setup - firadisk.img - /XP.iso map --mem (md)0x800+4 (99) map /firadisk.img (fd0) map /firadisk.img (fd1) map /XP.iso (0xff) checkrange 0x80 read 0x8280 && map (hd0) (hd1) checkrange 0x80 read 0x8280 && map (hd1) (hd0) map --hook write (99) [FiraDisk]\nStartOptions=cdrom,vmem=find:/XP.iso;floppy,vmem=find:/firadisk.img;\n\0 chainloader (0xff) title 2 Continue Windows XP setup - firadisk.img /XP.iso map --mem (md)0x800+4 (99) checkrange 0x80 read 0x8280 && map (hd0) (hd1) checkrange 0x80 read 0x8280 && map (hd1) (hd0) map --hook write (99) [FiraDisk]\nStartOptions=cdrom,vmem=find:/XP.iso;\n\0 chainloader (hd0)+1
  8. Clean the hard disk. Press shift F10, run diskpart, list disk, select disk N, clean. Boot win7 media again.
  9. Read MSFN Rules 1.a http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?app=forums&module=extras&section=boardrules
  10. Try Catalyst Raid Drivers\SBDrv\SB8xx\RAID\XP http://sites.amd.com/us/game/downloads/Pages/integrated_xp-32.aspx#3
  11. At a ASrock N68C-S UCC (AMIBIOS) map --mem fails still. CD-ROM disappear at PNP. Idea: Open a handle to virtual CD-ROM drive. Compare Press shift F10 to open command console at a default install ISO. Change directory to virtual CD ROM drive. This opens a handle CD ROM drive. Keep this windows open. PNP dosn't truncate access. At DriverPacks edit presetup.cmd :DPsFound start /b "Open handle to virtual CD-ROM drive." pushd "%CDDRIVE%"Another cmd.exe is launched in context to running hidden presetup.cmd. Hence this cmd.exe is hidden too. At driver February 14 I don't use virtual floppy at first reboot anymore. Driver and txtsetup.oem was updated. Add file winvblk.cat to virtual floppy too.

  13. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Preinstallation_Environment http://www.msfn.org/board/forum/81-windows-pe/ Try "last good configuration" first.
  14. Try Aspire 5738Z IaStor 8.9.0.1023 http://support.acer.com/us/en/product/default.aspx?modelId=1121 Boot a PE and copy file iastor.sys to !SystemRoot!\system32\drivers
  15. Try a current driver first: IaStor 10.1.0.1008 http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Product_Filter.aspx?ProductID=2101
  16. Which iastor.sys version do you use?Which hardware do you use? To set IDE drivers follow http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314082/
  17. Setup writes MBR to hd0. You may have to adjust the mapping: map (hd0) (hd1) map (hd1) (hd0) Overall there seems to be a BIOS, USB, windows and winvblock confusion. I consider this experimental still. @all Which hardware and windows do you use?
  18. Which hardware used old physical machine? Which hardware uses current physical machine? Which hardware uses current virtual machine?
  19. I'm deeply impressed, you've good connections: a vanilla XP with Media Player 11 Try edit txtsetup.oem and comment WinVBlk.INF line.
  20. Which NEC notebook do you use? Which Dell notebook do you use? BIOS may limit size too. Which BIOS version do you use? Does exist a update? There is a Intel PIIX Bus Master IDE driver for BX chipset. But I doubt, this helps at your case. As for 48 bit LBA Which hard disk size do you like? Newegg list a 120gb WD1200BEVE
  21. A idea: does PNP disconnect winvblock CD drive? Open a command prompt, does exist CD drive still? Try a vanilla XP too.
  22. Both chipset support IDE drives only. Most likely there is no SATA connector available. NEC BIOS maybe limited to 28 bit LBA. You may add a 48 bit LBA drive, example a 160GB IDE disk. http://www.48bitlba.com/win98.htm Can anybody verify this? Any additional settings required? Newegg list a HM160HC, WD1600BEVE, WD2500BEVE and a WD3200BEVE.
  23. That's quite strange. I suspect a BIOS limitation. Which motherboard do you use? Your sitck is greater 2GB. Which storage size do you use now? Post #1024 contains a dummydisk example Integrate drivers to windows source files first.
