Vista! try newest nlite version, or do it with XP!
-
nlite are only doing what you are give in! nlite dont manage every thing automatical. ...and you dont tell what your are doing with nlite either how you fix it manually. So i can not give any tips...
-
Good to know! Thanks!
-
I know this only from broken nlite sessions! Or if the CD is broken!
-
If you disable WHQL you are a lot more free! Only for textmode SATA drivers is better to keep WHQL! A easy way to get "clean" drivers are tools like "Double Driver". With DD you can slipout the drivers from your runing system, and you get normaly only the real needet files. For the german-nlite board i uploadet my driver collection to esnips.com , maybe you are interested to compare something (i remove normaly every language beside german, so maybe a english speeker should not use this!!!) http://www.esnips.com/web/thxTREIBER (note: I´m not perfect! ) Or look at the work from http://www.driverpacks.net/ they to a gread job. To modifying drivers is somtimes hard work, because not every failure is easy to find!
-
Its depends on the driver, its just differently! Sometimes the uninstall.exe is mentioned in the INF but mostly not.
-
It's not a bug! It's a feature! Ok with your explanations I understand, but this is sometimes irritating if you ask a user for his LS.ini and there are "old/untaken" entries.
-
Quicklaunch are not possible only with nlite! Classig startmenu you find not at tweaks, its on "unattended" where you can select your theme.
-
Drivers? (maybe a stupid question but you dont mention it) You only work with the wizard? Try doing it manually?
-
Its depends on the driver, its just differently! At first you need only the files in the same folder then the INF. Now you can open the INF (editor), and can look for the files are listed in it. If you remove a file listed in the INF maybe the silnet / automatical instalation of this driver is broken. If you think you dont need a singel file which is listed in the INF you can delete it out of the INF, but this way you lose the WHQL signing. ... so be carefuly!

Intels driver are ugly! but this should help you: http://www.msfn.org/board/Integration-of-I...ve-t107504.html Look for DriverGenius or DoubleDriver! But this wont work with every driver (but nearly all)

You can the most of your question find out by installing in a VM! 1.remove 2.not sure - better to keep 3.remove 4. remove (its for tv) 5. dont remove if you use IE 6. classic like win9x 7. if you dont slipstream wmp10 or 11 you can remove 8. movi maker needs the codecs from wmp, if you install wmp11 after xp setup its ok.
-
Just dont do everything as a beginner! Think carefully about every single tweak! You using classic or new startmenu? Can you post a screenshot how it should be and how it is in your VM? ...and please post your "last session.ini"

Your "OEM system builder win xp sp2 cd, VRMOP-EN" has taken my to the wrong direction. I read the "system builder" or short SB, maybe there is a differnece in germany and USA (or where you came from). SB Version i know as "normal" disks just cheaper and without support. But now you call this allwas OEM and for my there is a big difference between a SB an a OEM. I know some different OEM Version, some are nearly "normal" XP Disks some are very "ugly" (to say it nice). When i see it reight, you got exactly one of that version you have no way to work with nlite. Some version you can rebuild for nlite, but i dont know english Tools for this (only german ones). ...so i think i have to give up...
-
OOBE, you can remove it, but than you need a VL or you can not activate it. ...or you can Skip OOBE. Edit: one or two seconds to slow!
-
Create a folder in your source with the name $OEM$ there you can create subfolder.... Example: ...XPCD\$OEM$\D\MyFolder\ Evrey file in the folder "MyFolder" is automatical copy turing the instalation do partition D:\ inthe folder "MyFolder"

Allreight! I try to my very best! Iv you dont know what is a Framework and / or Dot.Net then look firdt to the good old Wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.NET_Framework nlite need this to run and work! And my gues is that your Dot.Net Framework on your PC is broken (its sometimes happens). At nuhis page you find links for download the Dot.Net Framework: http://www.nliteos.com/download.html Your current Dot.Net Framework you should be able to deinstall in the WIndwos Softeware section. After this you can install the fresh downloadet Dot.Net Framework again! ....have a lot of Fun!
-
It looks like a Dot.Net failure! Deinstall your Framework and install dot.net2 again.
-
which OS are you using? 32 or 64 bit? which SP? For HD audio hardware you need a hotfix, on XP SP2, in SP3 its includet.
-
No! sorry! Not in this case! My english is far a way to be perfect. Iven i would be perfect in this case i would not make fun of people with a more w orse english. So take it easy! ...and if i repeat a question, than i just wont get sure! I dont wont bother you or someone! a..d please use [ quote] tags if you quoting someone, its better to reading and understanding. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Back to your Problem! So you have copy your source to manually harddisk? Please post your folder structure (and the files in the main folder), or make a screenshot of it. Which nlite version are you using?
-
Is your source clean? Best to copy it manually on your harddisk. Which version of nlite are you use? Have you trying do deinstall > download and install it again?
-
Which language to you use one the system you work with nlite? nlite normaly dont show your current languages in the removal list. Is your source "clean" or to you have before worked on it?
