1: You can not remove SP1, SP2 , SP3 after its integrated in you Source! And it not realy does matter! 2: Just aktivate the last button! "Create a Bootable ISO!"

You kill a lot of necessary stuff, just look at my quote from your "last session.ini", maybe i miss something and maybe if have something you can remove in that quote. As a new user i would suggest to be more carefully, inside nlite there are some presets you can use in the beginning. Examble: This are the standard XP-Lan drivers, i would bet that your VM are require this one. A VM simulate a real hardware, and hardware wont work without drivers! In a VM you can go ahead in small easily steps, dont be haste! The VM allways will wait for you! What i trying to say, make some smal changes, run it in your VM - its evry thing working fine for you just remove a littel bit more. On this way you get a feeling what to need and what is only crab!

@leinan you are crazy! You removing neraly evrything and wondering why someting dont work! The main fail is the removed LAN drivers, your VM dont work just with love and air! So please put in some LAN Drivers for your VM! Many other things a dangerous too, and i am not shure if i translate evry thing reight in my brain. (so i am not shure with everything, butyou should think about) Your Tweks, specially the Networks ones a not perfect too! And the best one at last! You removing a lot stuff, but then you put in: Nero my be not bad put this is a huge pice oft software, only with this you mess up more than you clean with nlite! Dont take this wrong! its just my opinion! Maybe you have some reason to do like you do!

Its the IE7! Someone detected this in the german-nlite board, too! Everything works fine until you take the IE7! Thank you Microsoft, you give us good reasons to switch to FX or Opera!

Do you have a SATA Disk? do you installing the SATA drivers with [F]+[6] ? Because this would make a similar behavior.

Even its works it realy dosent makes sense! But i wish you "Good luck!" Dont forget to post your results! (...and dont forget to count your BSODs!)

I dont know (i allways and only to it with nlite!) Test it and you will see if its work!

In the link i gave you there should be a downloadlink for a tool to deaktivate WFP! You misunderstood me! I dont talk about the futer of nlite, i was talking about your next nlite run! There is the option for years (i would gues it allways was) to deaktivate the WFP!

@Nick White You can only do this a couple of time! Or you risking some failures, because i think that some updates not only update files. Somtimes they make new registry tweaks (or / and something like that). If a new hotfix delet an older one then are maybe some leftovers. But its your risk!

nlite dont change the dll its modifying it directly! ... and yes nlite 1.4.5 beta2 works perfectly with SP3!

Just use the "DP Base" tool! With the DP BAse you can easily integrate all the DriverPacks. You shouldn't make more work as necessary!

Yes a full list would be interesting! But i fear at the moment ther is no such list, nearly the same like hotfixes!

*lol* you guys take a XP image somwhere frm the internet, but this isent in your nativ language! I would suggest to build your one stuff, then it should not be a big problem to but in a MUI file! or better use the nativ language version!

You should write this to the makers from "CA Anti-Virus", because its a wrong alert! You can upload your file here: http://virusscan.jotti.org/ there you get some more results from many differnt AV scanners!

Shortanswer: YES! Allways start with a clean Source! Longeranswer: Some nlite option you can use sometimes, fpr example the "Components sction". You can run this as long as you have something to remove! The "Driver section" ist more dangeraous, theoreticly you can use it more then once but i would not do it! Nearly the same with the other nlite sections. But you can do for every section a single run (first run only drivers, next run only components,...) ... if this make sense for you is your decision! With the "last session.ini" you have a very good helper not to start at a zero point!

...only for reading? not for helping? 1: Just look to your nlite components you can remove! 2: "XP-disk\$OEM$\$$\Web\Wallpaper" greate this structur an but your wallpapers in the last folder! 3: setupscreen = winntbbu.dll ! You can edit this file with tools like "ResHacker" or thr spezial tool "WinntbbuED.exe"! The search will help you to find this and more!

The "DriverPacks" you better integrate with the "DriverPacks BASE". Run the DP Base after finishing nLite and bevor creating a ISO! The main Problem with DP and nlite ist the MassStoragePack, imho you can integrate the others packs without problems with nlite. You should never use the DP Base BEFOR nlite! nlite handels some tings others as the DP Base and you get only problems.

A "clean source" isent only a working source! Take your original XP-CD, integrate the actual SP, ans nothing more. This is a clean source!
