    XPlode 1.0.5

did you happen to run Hotfixes without the /O option in the newer versions?
  2. start creates a process and should only halt the batch if you use /wait if you just called msimn.exe directly, you would run into the waiting for it to exit before the next line executed.
  3. shooo, that doesn't beat MY WinXP using only 274 megs. lol talk about waste of resources. HAHA
  4. you can't open them. catalogue files are the certificates to the drivers that say they've been signed and verified and everything else.
  5. nope. ISA was phased out by the time Celeron and P3 made it to market. IF the card fits in the slot, it may be an old PCI slot. PCI typically are WHITE, and ISA are the big long brown ones.
  6. if you look at the RunOnceEX section, in the batch file there....there are statements of IF EXIST and whatnot.... that should explain things. Then replace %systemdrive% with %cdrom% and you should be fine.
  7. those shouldn't cause a problem....atleast they don't on mine. If you're really inclined on removing them, you could use jdoebeck's batches. But yeah....wierd.
  8. what do you mean by Icons? if you mean the Remove buttons and whatnot or descriptions, it's because of the /N option not saving uninstall information. There aren't any problems.
  9. very nice find indeed. i think i went there once because i was looking for a program to make MSI's or something
  10. very very nice eirogge. here i went through the trouble of creating a whole MSI to do the associations. Thank you very much
  11. nope. I've been trying to get it to work on a Win98 machine i have, and even moving gdiplus.dll does not get it to work. There are some missing functions that are included XP and 2000 that 98 doesn't have.
  12. go to www.doom9.org click on guides, and there should be step by step walkthroughs for whatever format you want. With pictures, and links to programs you would need.
  13. never thought of it. but then again i keep paper notes when i do something extremely different, otherwise I know what i do.
  14. geeeeze.... "before trying 1.04".....oiy..... to get to 1.04 you would have to read the post? Unless you're one of those people that just read the first two lines of a topic, and then stop without reading further.
  15. perhaps there are errors on the disk? are you using a CD or emulating? If emulating, recreate the image. if CD reburn.
  16. it could be your missing the ident files. In the root of your installation, the folder obover I386 i think, you need the WIN51 WIN51IP (if professional, not sure of the home) and WIN51.SP1 if you have ServicePack1 slipstreamed into the source. I blieve there are a few others, but make sure they're there. They're maybe a byte or two, or even blank.
  17. you could have also tried THEIR OWN WEBSITE! you obviously haven't searched hard enough. One search brought up 3 relavent posts on this forum, and an search of Winzip Unattend brought me to the WinZIP website on Yahoo. http://www.winzip.com/xsiteins.htm#unattended put alittle more effort into it.
  18. did you find anything AT ALL on WINZIP? you could maybe TRY THAT!
  19. own which site? the Unattended site? No he doesn't. It's MSFN as for the corporate versions of WinRAR and WinZIP, that would be considered illegal/warez. Read the license and it says to NOT DISTRUBUTE. They could link to the eval versions but that's about it.
  20. could you post a screenshot of the rror your getting? I honestly have NO idea what the problem is. in txtsetup.sif, do you replace all occurances or did you just change SetupSourcePath? All you need to do is edit SetupSourcePath. In your DAT and BIN files, make sure you replace ALL occurances of I386 and replace with the folder name of your boot folder (you made in your first part of the guide for each OS). Also make sure all replacements are UPPERCASE. Be sure to edit the files in your WEB3 folder and not in your Source folder. setupldr.bin and txtsetup.sif to point to 3WEB(that nice folder) txtsetup.sif should be pointing to 3WEB (if that's where you 2003 files are located. ) setupldr.bin should be pointing to WEB3 as that's your boot folder.
  21. someone REALLY needs to post in teh Application Switches forum. ALSO, please SEARCH! You may have to expand the timeperiod, or you could look in the sticky of Applications Switches in the top of that Application Switches forum.
  22. that would be why Wraith said create a log and post it. That why he could tell if it was the same bug as already reported. It appears it is, because of your last sentence, but still a log might help.
  23. or you could use winnt instead but if you boot from the CD you can't change the parameters i don't think. You'd have to edit the bootsector, and that's not always wise. If you use a Win98 startup disk or something, you can then use what studguy1 said.
