  1. please also remember to use CODE tags when posting files like that.
  2. which error do you get? when trying it in VMWare, did you try manuall typing in the command?
  3. could have sworn I've seen this topic atleast twice, both of which I've linked to a topic. Have you looked at either? simple 5 second search http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...0445&hl=Browser
  4. the easiest way would be once you have it installed on a normal way, to then copy the winamp.ini file in your winamp directory to your CD, and then after installing Winamp, copy it back over. I don't believe there is a option to choose skin yet.
  5. please oh please search.... and more specificaly, search for the right word. it's ASMS Error. And it's usually caused by a bad burn, or the ISO that was created had a problem. It happens. Use a CDRW.
  6. you have to escape the embedded quotes... INSTALLDIR=\"c:\Progs\Media\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\"
  7. DeadAIM uses the Windows Installer Engine. After the initial extraction screen, go to you temp folder and copies those over somewhere. After that, in your scripting, you have to START AIM, KILL AIM, and THEN tell DeadAIM where to install. If you just do it silently, it then installs to JDENNIS in Program Files. You may be able to skip the start AIM and KILL AIM steps, but I'm not sure.

    Call for troops!

I'm up for Website and Documentation... I'm starting to take some course at the UNI on C++ so I may delv into the programming later on.....
  9. I hate to tell you this.... the reason most of those links are dead, is because THEY ARE OLD. This isn't going to bring them back. Alrighty, so he is having FTP problems. Maybe there is a limit to the number of connections he could have.... as for a sticky.....I need a reason. An annoucement doesn't count. And at the moment that's what I consider this. All the other sticky's are helpful ones or links to other threads. This is neither. Just a "If you need a host, I'm one" type thread. Perhaps a link in the Threads of Interest thread, but nto a sticky.
  10. dos is not case sensitive. Neither is winnt.sif, atleast wehn calling commands. not sure about the actual entries.
  11. it's because the slipstream program might have a fault when running from Win2k. msvcrt.dll is different from Win2k to WinXP. I didn't have any problem when doing it from WinXP. and on another wrote..... big whoop if there were 6 reads and no reply. You gave it 21 minutes. There are posts that go UNANSWERED for DAYS if not WEEKS or MONTHS. Please keep that in mind when you're looking for a speedy reply.
  12. it's NOT the ISO Image creator. It's tried and tested. Also, as for setup stopping there, it could be setup doesn't have the neccesary drive for you system. It is NOT winntbbu.dll at that stage. The only time it's even access is during the file copy and you're not there yet. So it's not winntbbu.dll. You're messing up the files somewhere.

    XPlode 1.1.2

XPlode does NOT have the capability to display a custom image to the RIGHT of each item. You can change the background image, but that's it. XPdeploy can have the "icon" of the program to the right similar to the add remove window in Windows. If this is what you want, refer to the XPdeploy thread. It's in there for syntax. Otherwise, you CAN'T do what you want.

    XPlode 1.1.2

umm... XPlode does NOT display the images to the side of the object like XPDeploy does. Perhaps wrong thread?
  15. ProductID i remember being from Win2k. The RTM version of XP didn't really care, but it was removed in SP1. The only other thing I can come up with is a invalid CDKey.
  16. by don't get? you mean not filled in?
  17. not if he just wants the information enterd, and still have control over the install..... but if he doesn't want any screens then yes.....

    Help needed

    yup. something like that.
  19. the information at the top of your SVCPACK.INF file (I'm assuming you're using this) needs to be different from XP to 2003. I forget the exact numbers, perhaps GreenMachine or [bM]Crusher will come by..... or you could search.
  20. ProductKey = ProductID (best to have both entries.) unless of course the key is invalid.
  21. I still posted before you didn't I?

    Help needed

    MPSetupXP.EXE /Q:A /R:N /C:"setup_wm.exe /DisallowSystemRestore /Q:A /R:N"
  23. do you have the Advanced Networking pack in there? it'd also help with your SVCPACK.INF file as wel.
  24. it's not neccesary... but it just seemed to me like he was going to install a bare XP system without applying any updates.....that's not so wise.... Now....did I say slipstream? I could have sworn I said install.
