  1. I myself would like to get my hands on this... but it's not anywhere to be found here in the US... http://www.kiss-technology.com/?p=dp150408&v=users A DVD player that has a HD in it, has a network port to allow you to connect with your PC and play videos, MP3s and pictures. Plays DivX. Plays all formats of DVDs. Such a beautiful piece of equipment
  2. This is an insult to a great deal of people. Great first post. Bet you have never even been to this site. If it were my board I would ban you for being so stupid. (probably get banned for being so hateful... but you p***ed me off!)
  3. You have a robot to remove the CD from the already opened CD tray too? Maybe one to turn it on and put the CD in the tray to begin with...
  4. Wow... what world do you live in? People at this site have been creating multi-boot DVDs for some time... that's nothing new. But, believing that anything Linux will ever put Microsoft out of business... you are insane. What do you think will happen if Linux ever takes hold of the market? They would charge too. Look at every freeware program that has ever been made. Eventually everyone gets money hungry and linux would be no different. Let's see if I can put this into terms you might be able to understand. How much did you pay for Windows? $200? OK... If that runs your PC for 5 years then you have $40 a year into the ability to do EVERYTHING from your computer. Is that so bad? I paid $1400 for a bed I will only have for 10 years. Why? Because it ensures I get a good night's rest every night. Windows ensures you are able to use your PC to it's fullest extent. So, if you believe that Linux will ever bring MS to it's knees... keep dreaming.
  5. i am athiest and have no need for this religious crap, but you should tolerate others beliefs. personally i dnt giv a **** if some1 is religious as long as they dnt force it onto me. I completely agree with ya there... Have some tolerance people.... and remember, this is a tech forum. Remeber the Forum Rules... particularly this one...
  6. Isn't it supposed to be PEBKAC? Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair
  7. Thanks.. Let me know if that works.
  8. I believe if you add this it will fix your issues...
  9. You can start with this... http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechn...n/sp2netwk.mspx
  10. This you are absolutely 100% incorrect about. Service Pack 1a is Service Pack 1 with Virtual Machine removed. When Sun won the Java battle Microsoft was forced to remove Virtual Machine.
  11. @Aeron - You are a rare breed. Glad to know there are women out there who share the same passions as many of us. As far as the XP/98SE argument... If you are comfortable with 98SE and it works well for you then I see no need for you to upgrade. I happen to love XP and believe it's one of the greatest OSes of all time (on the personal PC side) I have worked in small and large corporate offices and Windows XP makes everything so much easier. I really love Windows Server 2003 too. It's such a beautiful piece of work. I was in your boat when 95 went to 98. I absolutely refused to upgrade. I believe I was afraid of the change. You certainly don't have to take me up on this, but I challenge you to tackle Windows XP one last time. Go into it with an open mind. You might find some surprises. Later!
  12. I believe your issue with SP2 is that it causes performance issues. It's ignorant to believe you are better off with SP1 and all of the updates. If that was the case wouldn't you be better off with the original GOLD disk XP with all of the updates? Who needs SP1! hehe... Back to that common sense thing....
  13. Honestly, you could accomplish what you are trying to do using just an unattended disk and some properly placed drivers files. I used to use one image on a RIS server to build over 15 different model PCs. You just have to take the time and make sure all of the drivers are available for all of them.
  14. Yet another perfect situation for RIS
  15. This utility does not have a website. I would recommend to a mod to remove the link. That EXE might get someone in trouble.
  16. You would have to reinstall.
  17. Windows Server 2003 requires you enter a reason when you attempt to restart...
  18. You can edit your default boot by Right clicking on My Computer, selecting Properties. Select the Advanced Tab, Startup and Recovery, Settings. Just select the default OS and click OK.
  19. Have you tried just importing the snap-in file? The current one may just be corrupt.
  20. Let me see if I understand this correctly... You had an existing server set up. You had to reinstall it (using an image) and now you are wondering why all of your PCs won't connect to it any longer? Well... If you are familiar with Active Directory you know that each PC has an account. This account is created when you join a PC to the domain. While you see this account as a computer name in AD, it really is made up of a SID. A SID is a unique identifier linking that PC to that record. SIDs are randomly generated so when you add a PC once remove it and add it again the SIDs will never be the same. So... When you reinstall this image is it an image with exising SIDs that you are assuming will just work, or is this an image that's configured but with no accounts in AD? Give me a little more information.
  21. Here's a futher explanation that might help you. Servers require static IP addresses. I'm assuming that maybe you are using a router as a DHCP server and the IP scheme is different and that is why you are unable to connect to the server without a static address. The easiest way to fix this would be to make sure the IP scheme on the server and the DHCP server (router) are the same. My recommendation on how to fix it would be to disable DHCP on your router and to enable DHCP on your server.
  22. Most certainly, yes.
  23. if you say so... good luck. If you have seen them here before then why not try a "search"
  24. You can not log on as default user, but any changes you make during cmdlines.txt will be made to the default user profile.
  25. According to Cyberlink's website (www.gocyberlink.com) PowerDVD 4.0 is also known as PowerDVD 4.0 XP. 6.0 is the newest version.
