  1. your Samsung Spinpoint M8 750GB is busy all the time. This causes the slow boot. remove avast, try a different AV tool and see if this improves boot.
  2. I also notice a small flickering in Firefox when scrolling on this site: http://www.station-drivers.com/page/ralink.htm
  3. I use FullHD (1920+1080) on my Dell laptop
  4. the version seems to work fine. The TGit flickering issue is still present.
  5. thanks I'll test it now. Btw, can you add proper file version data to the DLL so that we can see which version we currently use?
  6. I get some flickering in the TortoiseGit when VS2012 is shown in background. If I minimize the VS2012, the flickering is gone.
  7. Yes, it asked for a reboot and I selected to reboot later. I stopped all open tools, stored the open documents and made a reboot. After a reboot I still had the old file version and I had to use the workaround to get the new Dll.
  8. I have the issue, that the 2.1 files are nor installed. I had to rename the old StartIsBack64.dll (2.1 Rc2) and run the installer again.
  9. I think this is bad (missing write permissions to the log files)
  10. thanks for the Update
  11. ok, Blue will be released as 8.1 later this year via the Windows Store and it will be free for all Win8 users. The preview will be released on 26th June: http://blogs.windows.com/windows/b/bloggingwindows/archive/2013/05/14/windows-keeps-getting-better.aspx
  12. desktop apps are the normal Desktop programs you run the last years. The new Windows Store Apps run in fullscreen, can be only installed from the Store and are touch focused.
  13. the errorcode I see is triggered if a wrong handle is used: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ms646916%28v=vs.85%29.aspx I waited for the messagebox to pop up, didn't click it, but moved it to the side of the monitor and played the game now without any issues. I hope we can buy the final soon, to "fix" this
  14. The Game PanzerCorps exits very often, so I activated silent exit monitoring (new feature since Win7) and found that C:\Windows\System32\svchost.exe killed the game with error code -805306369 which means CDERR_DIALOGFAILURE. Can this be causes by the popup of your Dll? I can't image that a service tries to display a dialog.
  15. @ Tusticles does the ASUS G75VW support Optimus? If yes, force DWM.exe to run with the Intel HD GPU (included in the CPU). I also do this for my Dell Laptop with Intel HD 4000 and Radeon HD 7700M.
  16. @ monkey21 run the xperf command and give me the file.
  17. the trace is incomplete. Don't use DiagEasy run the exact command I posted.
  18. those 20xxx file versions are LDR, the 16xxx are GDR. LDR contains hotfix code, while GDR only conatin normal code which is safe to be used by all users. The files come from Update KB2756872. So if you have a lower file version, make sure you install this update: http://search.microsoft.com/en-us/DownloadResults.aspx?q=KB2756872
  19. yeah, the artifacts in StartIsBack are gone. Well done! :thumbup
  20. Corsair with ASUS can cause issues if it is not listed as compatible. DO you have other RAM which you can test?
  21. the large dump is damaged. 1 minidump shows the latencyMon driver as cause and the second one the kernel itself while doing memory operations. the first trace is fine. In the second the usbport.sys causes 1 larger spike. Connect your logitech devices to different uSB ports. Also make sure that the RAM is compatible to the board, the ram is fine itself (test with memtest86+) and the memory timings match to the SPD data on the RAM modules. Use CPU-Z to verify this. If nothing helps, RAM the board and hope the new one is better.
  22. this is a new bugcheck in Win8: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj154556%28v=vs.85%29.aspx Zip and upload the files from C:\Windows\Minidump
  23. according to the latencymon report your PC has no DPC/ISR issues. Which issues do you have?
