You can use DISM to export/import the file associations Windows 8: Associate a file Type or protocol with a specific app using GPO (e.g:default mail client for MailTo protocol) http://blogs.technet.com/b/mrmlcgn/archive/2013/02/26/windows-8-associate-a-file-type-or-protocol-with-a-specific-app-using-a-gpo-e-g-default-mail-client-for-mailto-protocol.aspx
yes, this tool is called R&W everything. I use it for years to get such data. There are no digital river links for Win8 ISOs. You need a clean MSDN/Technet ISO (or a ISO with both editions and no ei.cfg)
you have the ACPI.sys!OSNotifyDeviceWake issue which I've seen some times ago but never found a solution. Try disable all powersaving options in device manager and disable WOL.

import this file to your registry. http://cid-128fc518635be2dc.office.live.com/self.aspx/.Public/MS%20Foren/Registry/LocalDumps.reg when you get the crash you can see a dump file in C:\localdumps. Zip and upload the dump.
