  1. looks like the support was flooded with question how to remove it. I already posted it here: http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/169286-windows-81-secureboot-isnt-configured-properly/?p=1057969
  2. again, turning services off doesn't make the PC much faster. You have to tell us what is slow. Is this so hard to understand?
  3. With version 1.04 I still have the issue. I think there is a conflict with the Windows 8.1 setting to go to desktop at bot/closing app, but it is now grayed out and I can't change the setting.
  4. and what is slow? 3GB is enough RAM for a 32Bit Windows.
  5. zip the ETL file to reduce the file size so that you don't need to upload so many data.
  6. MS released an update to remove the watermark: http://search.microsoft.com/en-us/DownloadResults.aspx?rf=sp&q=KB2902864
  7. Enabling Secure boot should remove it. What is msnfo32.exe telling you about the SecureBoot state?
  8. capture a new trace. This time with this commandline: xbootmgr –trace boot -traceFlags BASE+LATENCY+DISK_IO_INIT+DISPATCHER+FILE_IO+FILE_IO_INIT+FILENAME -stackwalk profile+CSwitch+ReadyThread+FileCreate+FileClose+FileRead+FileWrite -resultPath C:\TEMPthis captures file information like which files are read/written during boot. It also captures waits during boot.
  9. the HDD is busy all the time. You should stop all tools that you don't need to reduce the disk activity pressure.
  10. switching to startscreen, starting an app, closing it and viola I get to the Desktop. But I configured StartIsBack+ to return to the last environment.
  11. yes, if boot is very slow and a lot of data are written into the file.
  12. I never figured this out. Open the ETL file directly in the viewer. It has a graph with the boot phases. Here you can see how long which phase takes. boot is very fast now (9s): - <timing bootDoneViaExplorer="9359" bootDoneViaPostBoot="19259"
  13. non paged pool is a bit too high. use poolmon to see which driver is the cause: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/ntdebugging/archive/2012/08/30/troubleshooting-pool-leaks-part-2-poolmon.aspx
  14. disable the Marvel completely and try to connect the Samsung 840 Evo SSD to different ports. You also use a lot of older Samsung HDDs (HD204UI, HD154UI). Try to remove them and look if this makes a difference. Those green drives are really slow and may cause it.
  15. post a picture of the Performance->Memory tab of taskmgr
  16. Your issue is fixed. Boot is fast: - <timing bootDoneViaExplorer="22986" bootDoneViaPostBoot="39586" osLoaderDuration="2361" postBootDisturbance="6600"23s to the desktop and 30s to be fully booted. This is fine
  17. this is correct, some users really need to read a bit more in detail the description
  18. yes, this version is for Win8 RTM only. You need this version: http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/163570-aero-glass-for-win81-rtm-beta-1/page-1
  19. in your case the PreSMSS is slow: + <interval name="PreSMSS" startTime="0" endTime="65805" duration="65805">When you look at the bootStart etry in the XML you see that starting your WD drive is slow with 61s: - <phase name="bootStart" startTime="40" endTime="62878" duration="62838"> <pnpObject name="IDE\DiskWDC_WD10EADS-65M2BX_____________________01.00A01\5+333ee88f+0+1.0.0" type="Device" activity="Start" startTime="543" endTime="61785" duration="61242" prePendTime="61242" description="Disk drive" friendlyName="WDC WD10EADS-65M2BX ATA Device" /> try a different SATA port/cable and see if this fixes it.
