I don't use the DVD to boot. I've converted the WIM to a VHD with WIM2VHD and now I would like to check if there is an existing Os install like WinXP or WinVista. If such an OS is detected the Bootmanager should be updated to the Win7 Bootmanager so that I can add the VHD file. On Technet I only found a way to completely clean the partition
do you get error messages when trying to start those applications? Could you please post them? If this doesn't help follow the things I've posted here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?s=&...st&p=861558
for WPI look here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showforum=93 here is an article how to use WPI in Vista Setup: http://sereby.org/index.php?cat=vista/progs (Use translator to read it) What doesn't work with the Audit/sysprep/capture methode?
this has nothing to do with AntiVirus. This is a .NET Exception when you try to use an filed of an array which is out of the range. if you have an array of 5 fields and want to use the 6th element .net throws this exception. @dandelo When does it happen? Please post the steps
you've used the Azdit mode to install the Sp1 and Sp2. In this mode you can also install the applications. When you now sysprep the image and capture it into a new install.wim you have your own Recovery DVD
How do I update (unattended) an existing Bootmanager (Vista) to the the new Win7 Bootmanager so that I can later add the VHD, I've created with WIM2VHD, to the Bootmenu?
what do you mean with vLite Installation? If you didn't use vLite to remove components you can delete this registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\vLite But, do not try this on a vLited Vista Sp1, Sp2 Installer will always FAIL!
