ok,got it. The IdePortInterrupt from ataport.sys is very high. This sounds like your HDD running in the old IDE mode instead of AHCI. Try to change to AHCI: http://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/987378-how-to-switch-from-ide-to-ahci-without-repairingreinstalling-windows/ http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=313676 Does this fixes it?

Autorun as admin blocked after Windows 8.1 August Update
MagicAndre1981 replied to oomek's topic in Windows 8
I don't see a cmd. The normal Run entries still work for me and tool which require admin rights are always blocked since Vista. -
btw, the issues with the August Updates was likely caused by Adobe Photoshop Elements which installs Adobe Open Type-Fonts.

How Do I Determine What WUDFHost.exe is Doing and What It's Associ
MagicAndre1981 replied to NoelC's topic in Windows 8
This is easy. Run processHacker and look at the Environment Variable: find the "Attached Device" and now search for this in the Registry. In this case it is the emulated GPS from the Visual Studio. The second example is my old Hama USB Thumb drive: Or you can look at the "handles", here you find the handle and can select to open regedit at the location. -

GOP is the graphic protocol of UEFI. With the old VGA you don't get the OEM Boot logo: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/b8/archive/2011/09/20/reengineering-the-windows-boot-experience.aspx The Surface Pro for example doesn't support the VGA Option ROM any longer so Windows 7 doesn't work on it. -
thanks for the information, so my guess of the COM port was correct. Nice to hear that you fixed it
