  1. Is StartAllBack going to be updated for Windows 11 build 22581.100 ?
  2. That's exactly what I've been developing for the last few weeks. A crossover between thw Windows' 8.1 start screen and the Xbox dashboard. No need for the Pin Steam nonsense, just right click on the exe, pin to XBStart and you are done. More info soon.
  3. No worries, i'm building a beautiful launcher for Windows 10, more info soon
  4. I haven't checked it myself, but I've had reports telling that XBStart is also compatible with the XboxOne's controllers.
  5. Ok, I'll do it, but I'm focussing now mainly on writing a XBStart Launcher for Windows 10. It's a crossover between Windows' 10 start screen and XboxOne's dashboard. More info soon.
  6. XBStart gets the system dlls in a standard way, first it checks the apps folder, if it's not there then it checks the system folders. Copy the xinput1_3.dll into the C:\Program Files\XBStart\ and you should be good.
  7. One monitor and one the TV? Say thanks to Microsoft who drowned the effort to make a unified industrial standard on pixel positioning. I wasn't aware this was Microsoft's fault. Would you elaborate please?
  8. The mess is bigger as I mentiontioned in my post as part of the explorer window's text is indeed in grayscale. Sadly it's hardcoded in the msstyle I suppose.
  9. You may try to open msconfig and disable the CNG Isolation Service. This service was causing 90 sec delay on my machine. If you are on a wired connection you should be good without it running.
  10. Hi, as you can read in my recent posts I still have no idea what to do with that ugly new start menu in Windows 10. When I look at it it drains me off my energy and I loose all the motivation to code. I don't see it as a launcher anymore.
  11. I have no words to describe the mess Microsoft created in the font rendering in Windows 10. Just look at this explorer window. Some elements like title bar and address bar have a grayscale antialiasing, the rest has cleartype enabled. Ok, let's open ClearType Tuner and select a third option on a third page which is a grayscale cleartype. And guess what, it's still the same! This tool has no effect at all on the cleartype's color settings. Disabling cleartype is no option, as the text becomes a total mess. So the question is: How can I force Windows to use that grayscale cleartype smoothing method on all of the GUI elements? If this is some kind of a new font used on the titlebars, can I use it on the other elements by editing aero.msstyle or shellstyle.dll? p.s. The reason of my post is that I use one display with RGB matrix and the other with BGR, So I have to constantly switch the cleartype's sub pixel matrix to get rid of blurred fonts.
  12. XBStart is designed to be compatible with xinput dll. Any additional controller needs to be programmed separately.
  13. I replied about the chatpad integration a few posts back, scroll up and check it out. Wow, I'm an id***. I saw that post but thought it was much older. What do you mean by "as soon as the wireless driver is implemented"? It seems they've gotten a working version. It's on the frontpage of their page: "Currently, only wired controllers are supported. Future plans include investigating support for wireless XBox 360 controllers." I think we're talking about two different projects. Are you talking about the Chatpad Super Driver project? That one is only available for wired. But the project I posted has this on their front page: This application will allow you to use your Xbox 360 Wireless Controllers + Attached Chatpads on a Windows PC cordless through an Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver. Some users have reported success, others have had some trouble. You are right. I was only aware about the chatpad super driver. I'll look into it, but first I need to get a chatpad.
