you can't delete it when Windows runs. Windows can only add a new pagefile when it runs, but you can't remove it.

Windows 8 Release Preview download available
MagicAndre1981 replied to Mr Snrub's topic in Windows 8
yes, DEP = NX Bit. So disabling this feature let Windows think your CPU doesn't support it. -

Now they're chopping up the Start Button's bones

So in what way is Classic Shell more limited in Windows 8 than what it is in Windows 7? I have not noticed anything different. Andrea Borman. I refer to the statusbar. From what I see it has been replaced so that ClassicShell can't add new information. here we can see that tastes are different. I always hated this MS Agent animation and removed it to get the Windows 2000 look back. So, adding an option to show or hide is the best to make all users happy. -
The fiels are too large (over 1GB and 500MB). xperfview needs too much RAM to open them. My 8GB are not enough. You can run this command: xperf -on latency -stackwalk profile -buffersize 1024 -MaxFile 256 -FileMode Circular && timeout -1 && xperf -d DPC_Interrupt.etl This limits the captured data to 256MB which is ok to open. But 1GB is too much. from the generated summary I can see that you still have NDIS, USB3 and graphic DPC issues: Your GA-X58A-UD3R has 4 PCI slots. Put the graphic card into a different slot: Now look if you still have issues.

Override ClearType fonts for certain websites?
MagicAndre1981 replied to tomasz86's topic in Networks and the Internet
For me this looks the same on Windows 8 with IE9 or in Metro. Looks horrible. I'm using Firefox which allows me to use the old GDI metric or some fonts and I have a clear brilliant picture back not this horrible crap. -

Windows 8 Release Preview download available
MagicAndre1981 replied to Mr Snrub's topic in Windows 8
Reset the BIOS settings and enable VT and NX Bit again. If not, Mr Snub should fill a bug. And on the MS forums, other users with Intel CPUs have the same issue. So MS will properly investigate this. -

Now they're chopping up the Start Button's bones
MagicAndre1981 replied to JorgeA's topic in Windows 8
I not. He knows nothing and only speculates. His "knowledge" only comes from Rafael Reviera and from the advantage of getting newer builds from his contacts. it depends on finding well defined Windows (everything in Windows Desktop GUI is internally a Window). They can replace the taskbar with undocumented DirectUI code to prevent all tools from running. They did this with Windows Explorer taskbar, that why Classic Shell is already limited in Win8. -
have you tried it? Maybe it calls functions which are not available.

I'm waiting for the next marketing lie of Sinofsky where he writes that Win8 is used 3 times more compared to Win7 RC  http://mobileopportunity.blogspot.de/2012/05/fear-and-loathing-and-windows-8.html
