Personally I think the problems is with your windows installation not WPI if you tried a new download and can't even get the open with menu to open I think your windows is messed up. Other people use WPI on Win2k and there have been no reported probs. Do you have mshta.exe in system32 folder?

I am not trying to fool anyone. I have never denied piracy either. I personally think if you want to test or try fine but is you want to REALLY USE then buy... I personally own a legal corp license from a company I did some work for and still free-lance for from time to time. I also had the devils own which I used for like a month then bought my first XP Pro. I have also beta-tested for MS for 3 years now on various products and several other companies I have tested for. So yes on highly overpriced software I have pirated before but for the little guy I always buy.

Make the short cut, zip it in an sfx file and direct the sfx file to unzip silently to wherever the destination is.

Actually windows xp "corp" or "vlm" has 10 different files in it so it will recognize the "vlm" serials and does not require activation... There used to be a "Devils Own" zip file when windows xp first came out that had those 10 files in it. All you had to do was replace those 10 files on your XP pro source and bam instant corp edition. The serials that floated with the package have all since been blacklisted. XP Pro keys won't work on XP Corp and the same goes the other way. Microsoft would not have made it that simple to get a volume license edition. Also that is the same reason why a lot of serials have been backlisted with service packs like they did in sp1 and the service pack would not install on a known "pirated" serial number. Plus the **** thing would not accept the blacklisted serial after it was slipstreamed.

What versions of wWindows have you used WPI on? I have used WPI on - Windows XP Plain & W/SP1 & SP/2 Longhorn Windows 98 SE

Do any other readers use windows 2000? As far as I know your error is the only one reported. Is the system you are trying it on fully up to date or a fresh install? Also can you try it on another win2k system? Please try the things and I will do my best to help you...

Great idea to add into the config section like a drop box that you can select windows versions with?? With an all option also right?? I repacked TweakUI with a pre-configured SFX file. It is natively fully silent so just call it... It will also recognize windows folder no matter what drive it is on... Download here <-----------

Have you removed IE with nlite??? Do you have a open with option with a right click??

Okay I keep getting this error during my unnatended cd install at the begining after @ 30 sec.... But this install was tested extensively before setting to cd WTF??? Yes I have tried 3 different burned cds incase I got a bad copy and I even took ntkrnlmp.exe from another previously used cd that I knew was good. The windows was done by nlite, nothing removed, ryanVM's pack added and then xpized. Any Ideas?? Please help me.

You still need to make that change so the cdrom variable is set to %wpipath%....

I like winnt.sif for any needed user interaction and custom selection after the initial logon. But my WPI is used by many different users.

This sounds like a quirk WPI is known to have when install by category is checkd the install order is done by category Alphabetically and not done by display order or anything else like that. As of yet we have not found a way to define install by category order. Still is being worked on though so if you have any ideas go ahead and tell us.

The file goes anywhere really just put it in your install folder and call it, it is just a exe file that deletes the user account automatically.
