  1. Umm I don't even remember if I set a defaultinstall section in that inf... If it does have a defaultinstall section then yes you can try it. I cant find the addon on my server so I can't look at it. Just disable the quicklaunch bar normally, right click and install on the inf and the reboot. It should work. p.s. WHAT DID YOU CALL ME? O_o j/k
  2. Yes it was becaues you upgraded. Like Nuhi said in the release post. If the old version is installed first it bypasses the need for WAIK.
  3. Lol I had to check nearly ALL of the bottom section....
  4. vLite uses a couple of very specific files from it. It is whats needed to compile the image from what I understand. It is a very key component to vLite. But ever since the AutoPatcher fiasco MS has been anal about redistrubuting files... Nuhi doesn't want to take the chance of any cease and decist orders or the like. Think of it as the gas in your car, your car may look pretty and everything but without gas it is just a pile of junk and doesn't go anywhere.
  5. sure can, integrate it in your disk with nLite and then run the installation. If at the end you see the quicklaunch bar then its all good.
  6. Probably... You add it into nlite as a hotfix...
  7. It won't ever be "Corrected" guys. Nuhi did what he did for a very good reason. MS has been getting REALLY anal about people re-distrubuting their files! It was done to prevent vLite from being shut down...
  8. Go get ISTool from the third party files section. It gives GREATER control over your scripts and everything to be done with them.. Also are you using the quick wizard? All in all it is pretty simple to make a small setup.
  9. There is a tweak in the options section to disable the minimum required disk size...
  10. Actually the unofficial SP5 cures all of these issues and more... http://tracker.ryanvm.net/detail?id=59 <-- Torrent link Forum section http://www.msfn.org/board/Hotstream-f130.html It will bring your system fairly upto date and if you follow Kurt Austs guide in the forum section you can fully update it!!!
  11. Actually they aren't used at all unless you manually goto them and install the contents. So if you never had then you will not miss anything.
  12. http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/57/
  13. Naw just remove OOBE with nLite and you'll never see those screens again.
  14. [offtopic] I see you have the same mouse as me (Keeps double clicking on that darned add reply button)
  15. Yeah there are risks: Random crashes, Data loss, Hardware loss, Usually it will just freeze on you... I don't know about your situation and the place where you live but a better Power Supply can be gotten for a very cheap price... P.S. Look for this sticker (It will be upside down) when you take the side off your case. http://www.lakewoodconferences.com/direct/...ower_Supply.jpg
  16. UnattendedInstall="Yes" [Unattended] FileSystem=* UnattendMode=FullUnattended OemSkipEula=Yes OemPreinstall=Yes UnattendSwitch=Yes DriverSigningPolicy=Ignore TargetPath=\WINDOWS Man it looks the same as mine. Is it a VLK or retail version?
  17. Yes, please get rid of that utterly useless waik as it is trash software! It's NOT compatible with Win2K3 Server & Win Vista x64 too. You don't quite get it. vLite is based on it. vLite will not work without it. It has been stated to grab the previous version of vLite and install it first as it still has the needed WAIK file. MS is going aroung KILLING apps that redistribute their software so just grab the needed file from the last version and keep it handy. Somewhere in this really long thread the file is named as wimgapi.dll <-- Thats the only file you need. Quoting Nuhi:
  18. Power supplies are easy to replace. You either: Are over taxing it. (Kinda doubtful with 3 devices) Have a loose wire or It is just plain dieing on you. What is the wattage of your power supply? You can see it on the side sticker when you open your case.
  19. Anybody want a mouse that constantly double clicks??
  20. Please attach your winnt.sif file (Remove your key first)
  21. We need the long non-sense part of the box. Like mine is "945GCT-M v2.0" it should be in BIG bold letters all over the box. 4 things = Are all usb ports broken? Are you sure it isn't the thumb-drive? Can you try another usb device? Do you have a good AV (antivirus) installed? I have heard of a couple of viruses that can cause issues like this and they attach to flash drives like the one you are trying. Also please try to fully type out all of your words, it makes things easier to read...
  22. http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6010 add as a hotfix in nLite...
  23. (What happened to flood control?) Sorry for the double post guys. I got excited and pushed send twice
  24. Ok I looked at the files... I think and would bet (Can't be POSITIVE here as 2 disk raid floppys are very uncommon) That nlite will pick up on the second folder. just to be safe though I would try it like so: Put the floppies files in folder named floppy 1 & 2 COPY all of the floppy 2 into floppy 1 Pick mutiple driver folder in the driver integration section Point it to the PARENT folder of floppy 1 & 2 Then when nLite asks you MUST pick txtsetup mode After all is said and done look into the I386 folder and see the folder called NLDRV Open said folder and see if the proper files are in folder - note the txtsetup.oem file won't be in there All in all I am pretty sure Nuhi (Nlites author) knows what to do with these and has programed nLite to handle them right. Please let me know how it works out.
