http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=67 Here are the basics to a 7z created silent installer. Please contact me at kelsenellenelvian @ hotmail.com in WLM or another messenger type client. (Just remove the spaces.) I have alot of info to help you.
https://wiki.mozilla.org/Installer:Command_Line_Arguments here is the info on firefox installer. Look at this utility I am uploading now. No documentation BUT if you drag a silent installer over it you will get a .txt file that contains the switches.
Like I said earlier "there is NO one-stop shop for switches" You are stuck with that the application installs forum and places like appdeploy.com... All of us have done alot of work to give you what meterial there is available you are just going to have to do some footwork (or, err I mean finger-work) The last time I used FireFox you needed the install packages from within the installer. They can be found by opening your %tempo% dir and starting the install.
I'll give you the fact that Vista sucks. But have you even tried Win7?? Or are you just believing the 5-10% of user base out there that don't like it? Windows7 is a very good and stable OS. Plus its legacy support really rivals what poor support they had in Vista.
http://www.wpiw.net/downloads/ussf.exe ... Here is what you are looking for. Remember though it is NOT a on-stop shop far all of the switches in the world. There is no app like that yet. USSF can just help you with there most common ones.
The ignorance shown here is simply astounding. While they may be similiar Win7 is years ahead of Vista. MS wanted to bury Vista and try to get past the mistakes they made with it.
Any good SO on any version of windows can lock you out of your files... Win7 has MUCH greater hardware compatability then Vista, other than that it is prolly time to upgrade (Especially in a buisness setting) YES you can customize Win7 DVD's, although your going to have a harder time. YES ms learned a lot form Vista
Hmmmmm found on the last page of the actual thread for the addon maker. http://virtualltek.mgbr.net/downloads/nlaom21.exe Maybe try reading a bit more next time?
Use a program like winrar to extract it and run the setup.exe OR Use a program like ultraISO that allows you to have a virtual cd\dvd drive and mount it on that.
I understand you. The function shouldn't be broken. Can you attach or send me your config.js file so I can try? (I don't use multi def's otherwise I could try it right away)
Skip = Well see with that we would need to have a knee-jerk kinda code in there to kill the master install process (And hopefully children processes) That can get REALLY messy leaving all sorts of half finished installs and reg entries laying around and cause allot of system instability. The other? Do you mean the command window when a cmd or bat is used? Or the installer window itself? Please elaborate.
Check the thread title. I'd like to ask the original topic poster to post his system specs, such as RAM, processor (and speed) and video card. Oops I must have not had my glasses on...
