  1. I can help you with most of this. There was a autoscript called taskkills.exe that worked like task kill I will see if I still have it. (yes i do) Extract will not work. The JScript functions will not work. Limited to 6 commandlines per entry. I can add kill in to the list of things wpi can do.
  2. Yes while there was a WPI_lite at one point it was decided (By me mainly) that it needed to be discontinued. Like deadbug says they would need to be developed side-by-side and that would be a pian in the a** because then it would end up boiling down to "Which features would be kept?" I do have almost EVERY past version in an archive on the server. Plus there is WPI classic. However if you wanted to make a script wich the end-user could use to remove some of the extra stuff I wouldn't stop you. (I would even be inclined to hep)
  3. No there is no legal hack to remove the activation. By 2014 (THATS when official support fully ends) MS will have a legal patch or still keep their servers running for activation.
  4. I don't have bluetooth so I wouldn't know. Maybe mritter will.
  5. Attention! The WPI main archive now includes the wpi.exe file. We will be moving the hta file and using the exe file from NOW ON! You NEED to update your starting scripts to match this change! All of the $oem$ and sources downloads have been fixed to reflect this change! (Please DL new copies)
  6. LOL another one... Yes to INSTALL sp3 on a running system you need at least sp1a INSTALLED BUT to SLIPSTREAM SP3 you only technically need the "Gold" CD. The only thing you will miss if you skip SP2 is the ability to skip the product key during installation...
  7. Thanks but already covered... http://www.msfn.org/board/change-setup-scr...-7-t137429.html
  8. WPI.exe has no version # It will work for 7.7.0 and lower versions. WPIC comes with its own wpi.exe. WPI 8 will have a new.exe in it. You RUN the wpi.exe INSTEAD of the wpi.hta wpi.exe MUST be in the same folder as wpi.hta You will need to update your method of starting WPI if you use runonce...

  11. Please also remember that WPI is no longer free for buisness or corporation usage.
  12. WOW Have some patience. There are THOUSANDS of people that visit here on a daily basis. What do you want a bunch of useless crap posts? Or are you more willing to wait and get a proper answer? P.S. It's called W.A.I.K. (Google is your friend)
  13. Use Multiple Defaults explained. This function of WPI is used when you have many Configuration selections and want to save space by use of a drop-down box. To use this option you must take a few steps: 1.Go into the "Config" wizard and select the "Configurations" tab. 2.Under the "List of Configuration Choices" enter the names of the configurations you need. example: [server,Test,P2P,NAS] 3.Check the "Use Multiple Defaults" box. 4.Click Save, then Exit 1.During the config of an app you assign it to one or more configurations in the "Configurations" box. 2.If you use more than one you separate them by commas with NO spaces.
  14. OMG I am so trying this right now!
  15. MS has been getting pretty thick about issues like this. If it was MY forum I wouldn't do it.
  16. Simple you start the installation and then go and get the files from your temp dir. THEN finish the installation or cancel out of it.
  17. This was discussed in length many, many times on this forum. Nuhi did NOT want to have a Autopatcher-type situation where vLite gets shut down completly by MS. In the documentation for WAIK it says you cannot distribute any part or whole of it.
  18. Exactly I hae never had an issue with adding SATA drivers to the TEXTMODE part!
  19. No it is not a legitimate question. nLite\vLite is dead. nuhi has moved on to (Hopefully) better things. Doing so researching (Use the search menu) will provide LOTS of posts on this same thing.
  20. You are wrong. WPI lists the themes in the themes folder by reading the folders in there. While the CURRENT release has SOME of the theme files and ALL of the theme folders in there it is only because all themes were missing a couple of files. (Oversight maybe? Appearantly we should have just taken ALL of the time to reupload ALL themes?) v8 will have this fixed... WPI ONLY lists the themes that are in the themes folder! @ Elan. You are correct that the archive from the site is suppose to run right out of the box. Have you modified your OS at all? Do you have nero 7 installed?
  21. ok this is a minor pain BUT try this: Remove your existing useroptions.js file and restart WPI. Granted you will have to redo all of the options but it should fix your issue.
  22. Steps to update your WPI folder: Download and unRAR to a different location. From your old WPI folder, copy config.js, useroptions.js, and windowoptions.js from WPIScripts to the new WPIScripts folder. Copy your Audio folder from old to new. Copy your Install folder from old to new.. Rename or move your old folder in case something goes wrong. Move the new WPI folder to where you want it. Test it! NOTE! When running for the first time you MUST do this = Go into Options wizard and save, then go into Config wizard and save. IT HAS TO BE DONE IN ORDER!
  23. All files in the lang folder EXCEPT lang_en.js All files in the tools folder EXCEPT sleep.exe All Cursor files in the graphics folder The whole Audio folder Other folders in the graphics folder: Flags Fonts Logos The whole Manual folder All theme folders EXCEPT the one you are using Changelog.txt WPI info.txt 2 wpi icons Install Package.png Total files and folders saved? 693 files 72 folders SIZE??? 5.90 Megs Sure there are LOTS more than can be removed but that is going to be error prone and I would need to have your options file. PLUS the time spent listing ALL of the extra files is too much right now.
