  4. Or, what I do is after I use DVD Shrink then I convert that folder to a RatDVD file so it is one big file instead of a folder... with RatDVD you can just double click and Windows Media Player will automatically run it... and it works just like a DVD... Menus, Special Features, everything....

I got some xtra $$$ leying around and i wanna better speed... one last question RIP... do u think i should wait for the m2 socket b4 upgrading or do it now?
  6. Depends on what you want to do... The FX is basically a Athlon 64 but the multipliers are unlocked, the Opteron is a Server Edition of the Athlon 64
  7. Congrats on the build... u need to holla at me some time... lol... anyways... the Optron Processor is 402 not 302... Nice system.. im thinking about upgrading my rig here soon...

  9. I would use 2000 for security reason and it is reiably... <how eva a person spells that>... but for linux... how many game are coded for linux these days?
  10. I never understood it either but it is something with the autorun feature that disables the refreshing of the contents of the media... crazy huh?
  11. in my test scenarios it has... so all the information leads to that...
  12. To the "original" poster (or quoted rather), he's probably thinking pre LiIon days when there was NiCd (Nickle Cadmium) and NiMH (Nickle Metal Hydride). The "other" he was thinking of I'm guessing is NiCd. Those were god awful and haven't been used in any portable computer for y-e-a-r-s.... Lithium Ion is the usual standard and (if you believe Apple) they only go through a cycle when the equivalent of discharging fully has been achived (i.e. you discharge half way and recharge twice, counts as one cycle). They are far supperior and can take some abuse as far as discharging partly then recharging while using, etc... Still the 1st charge is critical and needs to be left plugged in for 1/2 to 1 day before initial use. After that you should cycle it down (almost but not completely) empty then fully charge it over night. Standard disclaimers apply (I'm not a battery expert, but this seems to be the consensus on what I've read everywhere). I was i totally forgot about the LiIon... but in the orginal post i was talking about the NiMH and NiCD... and LiIon just slipped my mind.. lol
  13. Like GDogg said, after you hit F5 (also known as Refresh) refreshes the OS to reconize the new cd/dvd in that drive
  14. It should since the software is located by the registry... if all else fails... <trial and error always work>
  15. Wrong, did u read the whole document? Before You Begin We recommend that you complete the following tasks before you begin implementing the steps in this document: • Obtain the Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 media. The Windows XP Professional media do not include the necessary files for Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005. • Obtain a Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 volume licensing key. For more information about volume licensing, see the Microsoft Volume Licensing Web site. • Understand the Sysprep process that is described in the article, Deploying Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005. For more information, see the “Additional Resources” section at the end of this document. • If you are not using an existing deployment image, or you would like more information about deployments, visit the Windows XP Professional Deployment Web site. This site contains detailed information about how to plan and build your base image for the systems in your enterprise. It requires both CDs... not just one
  16. What causes it is that you have disabled the fast refresh and the auto-run features under Windows, it sounds crazy but that is the cause of it... lol
  17. It depends on the type of matterail the battery is made of... for example a NiMH battery it wouldn't matter, that is what most laptop manufacters theses days use... the other battery type <i can't remember the name> it will cause the battery life expectany to shorten alot...
  18. Windows Media Player will not play a DVD until u buy a dvd decoder...
  19. Well... sorta. A trickle charge is meant for a very low current used to charge the batteries. Since most people want their computers charged right now, the charger will fill up the battery as quickly as possible. If you want to charge your battery faster, buy a higher wattage power supply. Just make sure that u buy a power supply similar to the way that came with it... other wise u might dmagae and void the warentee on the laptop/tablet pc... If u are using the laptop and trying to charge the battery no matter what u doing the laptop is going to take up most of the power so the battery is still going to be trickle charged...
  20. Thats too long... I can install a RVM hot fixed Windows XP in the same amount of time I could a non-RVM hot fixed Windows...
  21. No, the only thing Microsoft did anywhere near what you are talking about was when they were exchanging the 32-bit version for a 64-bit version of XP Professional... *Links.... http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/64bit/u...de/default.mspx http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/64bit/upgrade/faq.mspx There ya are so, no; Microsoft will not exchange the version... BTW... the way the exchaged the copy up was by asking them for there CD key, nulling that key, and shipping them a copy of windows XP 64...
  22. I just updated my system yesterday with the AutoPatcher XP OCT 2005 FULL and i haven't had a problem and i checked the site and im up to date so...
  23. Most laptop charge and run off the cable, but when u do that it takes longer to charge since it will trickle charge instead of a more quicker charge
  24. @darth_ash: I have a PCI card that i have never install and i still can hibernate.... @TazzDevil: It has to be something with the pack that u intergrated with Windows...
