    nLite 1.1

More speedup oriented tweaks (of different kinds - not only registry). Detailed description of services (maybe with presets ready to use).
  2. "i only have 1 hard drive." Me too... And I made all accoriding to post I mentioned and all works great.
  3. Your DFI mobo have nvidia chipset... so... you have to integrate nv drivers: "Integration of nVRaid drivers into XP, W2k and W2k3 (32-bit), new and easy method, that works" http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...0&hl=nvidia Try to search a little next time, as it is already known (and solved) problem.
  4. Thank you very much Nuhi! Excellent piece of software! PS What about more performance related tweaks (all kind) in future? Just a sugestion...
  5. Thank you for posts! Looks like after extended search I finally found the reason! It was one of the memory bone - 256 MB - after removing it no crashes (till now) at all. What is really strange Memtest86 3.2 did not show any errors*. :\ Is that possible at all?! :/ What testing soft for RAM would you suggest? BTW - I did Knoppix test also and of course got errors. So my problem was in fact hardware nature. Hope this is only broken 256 MB of RAM and nothing more. Take care! ---- * Or test was too short. I will make Test 9 [bit fade test, 90 min, 2 patterns] too - maybe this will be negative. Also I'll plan to test only this 256MB, non working RAM module. EDITED: Last night I made 29 passes of std tests and got no error! Really confused. WTH!?
  6. BTW Maybe you know good application for removing unused/old/corrupted etc drivers? Something that will clean system from all this not needed drivers, which sometimes makes serious unstable in XP.
  7. Well, Yes, I had this TV tuner... Sold it not so long ago... (But before new hdd and don't remember BSOD or errors - maybe something like conflict or so with hdd "drivers" - just speculating) I didn't uninstall anything related to this card... Maybe that is the reason... Hope so. It sounds quite probably! Will try to remove all app and drivers of this Leadtek... And will tell you... Thanks for support.
  8. Report made with Everest software --------[ EVEREST Home Edition © 2003-2005 Lavalys, Inc. ]----------------------------------------------------- --------[ Summary ]----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Computer: Operating System Microsoft Windows XP Professional OS Service Pack Service Pack 2 DirectX 4.09.00.0904 (DirectX 9.0c) Motherboard: CPU Type Intel Celeron, 1700 MHz (17 x 100) Motherboard Name ASRock PE Pro (6 PCI, 1 AGP, 2 SDR DIMM, 2 DDR DIMM, Audio, LAN) Motherboard Chipset SiS 645 System Memory 768 MB (PC133 SDRAM) BIOS Type AMI (03/04/03) Communication Port Communications Port (COM1) Communication Port ECP Printer Port (LPT1) Display: Video Adapter NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 (128 MB) 3D Accelerator nVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 Monitor Samsung SyncMaster 950p Plus(T) [19" CRT] (H3NNC06734) Multimedia: Audio Adapter IC Ensemble Envy24 Audio Controller Storage: IDE Controller SiS 5513 IDE UDMA Controller SCSI/RAID Controller A347SCSI SCSI Controller SCSI/RAID Controller D347PRT SCSI Controller Disk Drive WDC WD600JB-00CRA1 (55 GB, IDE) Optical Drive Generic DVD-ROM SCSI CdRom Device (D-Tools 3.47) SMART Hard Disks Status OK "up to date drivers and BIOS" I have latest Bios, also did not updated drivers before it start happen. :/ Later yes - but nothing changed. I thought it is because overheating of my graphic card (It was nearly the same period...) I've changed cooler - nothing... Hmmm - (about - i don't remember) when this start to happen I also added new HDD* (Maxtor 250 GB - now removed) *And instaled on this disc brand new nlited system - hmm maybe that is the reason - 250 GB Maxtor or rather their "drivers" which still exist in system; but I didn't installed any special drivers for this HDD. Also I started to use 512 Pqi pen drive (not installed any soft from this) and added NEC USB pci card (removed now)... Problems persist with or without usb stick/usb controller... And drivers for both are XP native... I'll try this Knoppix method - will see if it crash too or not... Thank you for changeing topic - I didn't read rules... :| As for other errors: only what I noticed on paper: 8x80000003 - win error - exception breakpoint (popup during game) wf2kvcap.sys - from BSOD Also... something like this, during browsing with Opera... Error in Opera Also get "memory could not be write" sometimes instead of "read".
  9. Hi, I noticed random errors on my XP. Don't know what can cause it. I found few similar threads on MSFN forums but no solution or even real explain why this may happen. :| I've tested memory with memtest, i removed almost all unneded thing from comp (as USB card, 2nd hdd), I've changed places of my two RAM modules etc etc. I even installed 2nd instantion of XP on 2nd disc (before remove). Still the same. Errors without reason. Sometimes I can work relative long time, sometimes have crash after logon. Can't find repetitive reason... Please advice what more, and how could I test/remove/do. If you want to help me, you may also look at those threads: (but no solution, or even final word from owners - but I feel mysterious reason was the same...) http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?act=Se...e=%2B0x0000008E
  10. I've read it is possible on XP after SP2. But it is not working. How to enable this feature?!
  11. I've read it is. With XP SP2... But how to enable it?

    Xpize 4 Suggestions

    1. What about in next x-pize release ability to make your own personal set of icons to replace and/or to be replaced?! That would be awesome! Choice what to do! And how Win will look! As I like MacOs black&white icons I could make set... If Xpize just 'reshacking' files than it should be to do... Am I right? 2. Hope Xpize is smart program and patching only files that are present in Windows (coz of Nlited XP or something else) and have no problems with absences... 3. What happened if next SP, hotfix or patch will change some files? Can we Xpize them again? Are they new ones from hotfix?? I hope! What do you think about pt. 1?
