Alright thanks for the info! Glad to hear that the pipe will fit alright and everything. As for updating the BIOS, I'll have to wait till windows is inatalled and use the updater from there as I'm not buying a floppy b/c I haven't used one in years. I hope that'll be alright. And I already bought some Arctic Silver 5 and will most definately be using that instead of the stock paste/pad. That stuff seems to produce some great results. I'll post some pics once I have everything together. Hopefully a screenshot, not a pic of something I can't figure out!

Wow! Mr. J himslef! LOL, I havent seen ya around much, I understand the work thing. I am FINALLY ordering the RAM and Raptors within a week and a 1/2, gotta keep the par level up on the cash ya know, just can't go blow it all. I did decide on the 74gb Raptor and the Crucial Ballistix PC2 6400 @ 800MHz. Think all the components will be alright with the system we've built????
One thing while you're online, I'm a bit worried about the P4 650 stock heat sync and fan fitting in the external "pipe" (thats the only way I know how to describe it...) ya know the thing that sits right over the cpu on the Antec case that I got and lets the heat flow right out?? Do you know if it will fit as I haven't tried to hook it up yet.

P2P on a Corporate Network is a definate NO across the board.. workstation, laptop, server.. it doesnt matter.. In theory.. there is no problem like you said.. in reality.. there is nothing legal/right about it.
I agree... P2P at work in a corp environment leaves the network vulnerable period. Not a good idea at all.

Not that I know of, I compare it to the X in the top right of all windows... once you hit it unless there's an option in the app to minimize or send to tray it's gone! I'd like to know if there is a way as well.

I agree, I use Google Suggest probably 30-40 times a day at least for everything. I would just walk around in the streets day and night not knowing what to do if Google didn't exist! LOL

I'm not sure if this will be applicable to your situation but we use MMS at my work. Stands for Material Management System, runs on a good ol A/S 400. We have inventory locations, POs, receiving, barcoding, sales, the works. It is an enterprise class system, not sure how big of a system you want. Someone else may be able to recommend something smaller.

KAndle... that's what I suggested as well before re-reading the post. He wants it on a standalone machine not joined to a network I'd presume, so AD isn't applicable.

Just use 2000/2003 AD on your DC. You can set logon times by user or by group/OU.
check the 1st post. It is to be implemented on a standalone workstation, so no DC tools will be much help there.

Have you tried booting into safemode and scanning from there? And if you have another up to date and protected PC yank your drive out and throw it in that one for a scan. Or possibly find an antivirus app you can boot too?? Don't know of one, but most likely possible.
When trying to install from the XP Home disk what errors do you get? Also, you shouldn't need the driver for your SATA drive as windows should recognize it, unless you've got a RAID config.

Will it be just one generic channel, or broken down into sections like the site. Like irc.efnet.com/msfn and then #hardware, #windows xp etc.?
