You need to first get your avi's into high quality DVD compliant mpeg's (vob's). Putting it together is easy after that. You can use DVDShrink or something similar to then reduce the size of certain titles. Do not include subtitles or extra audio tracks if at all possible. If you have a motion menu, changing it to still pictures should reduce the size a bit DVDDecrypter, Nero, DVDShrink can make images that can be mounted via Virtual CD Drive for a final size determination. I use TMPGEnc DVD Author myself. Quick and easy all in one solution w/ motion menu support For something more advanced you could try DVD Architect 2 or the Vegas Production Suite or Adobe Encore™ DVD There is also VOBedit (or maybe it's called IFOedit) which lets you rework existing menus. Yes, valid lic. users will need to activate ACDsee 7 to use any of the various programs. ACDSee32 (v3.) does use wise installer commands. Ofcourse this also works for ACDSee 4,5,6, mPowerTools as well.

Alanoll is correct. The msi is wrapped using Installshield. You must pass msi arguments to run this silently. Look in the application switches thread. I posted ACDSee switches and examples. (Hint: run the setup you downloaded and look in your temp folder before setup finishes or use /a on the setup)

i highly recommend getting avast! bart v2. Among the new tools are a system junk file cleaner and a registry cleaner w/ the option of selectable search param's. Remember the trial itself will expire oct 15! The tools however....are timeless....

usually problems of this type are caused by codec conflicts. Uninstall all codec packs ((k-lite, etc) and then reinstall power dvd.

You stated in the 1st post you want to use a VLK key that you are not entitled to. You are breaking the EULA right there. WinXp requires more than just changing the PID. Though like everyone here, i feel the frustration of having to go through the hassle of activation, the steps that must be taken to do a conversion is not appropriate in this forum.

It's not that much of an issue really. Just register and install (free) for a copy of avast! home ed. and replace the 400.vps file. The bart cd builder will update until the 15th, so on the 14th (to be safe) have it d/l any updates and then build a new bart cd.

The pack caused my explorer.exe to freeze and become totally unresponsive. (I couldn't even kill it in taskman) Uninstalled w/o any problems. yes. Put the N_E_O_W_I_N Transformation Pack back on after i uninstalled the LH pack before rebooting. Glad to see the installers are authored very well.

there is no workaround for the serial. you can copy an activated OS Selector (use a Virtual PC and install only OS Selector to quickly get the files) to the drive in question. Even though it will have wrong info about your drive, it will be reactivated during OS Selector install and correct itself. Also, OS Selector will be inactive after copying the files and folders to the target drive so don't expect it to work with just simply copying, unless you use something like True Image and deploy an image of OS Selector to the new drive. Either way, you would want to run a bootable installer of OS Selector to correct the different hardware and disk info.

i bet they would have used the same files from 8.1 anyways.... just have them email to you what you need. it was not you who goofed up. Unless of course you didn't purchase.....

try chkdsk with a forced error fix. replace the file with a clean copy. it maybe is a bad reference to the file

I would keep them all actually. If you use ntfs, just hard link to the other copies and you won't waste any space w/ the duplicates. Hard Link Magic is a free GUI for hard linking and is very good. (You actually don't need any of them though windows will complain if you change your system config or add new hardware.)

if you are willing to pay get burst copy. you won't lose data because of the transfer. if you are concerned... copy, don't move with these prog's and then verify.

I upx all exe's and have never had a problem doing so. I do not compress the icon's however. if you delete anything from the sfx, you will get an error after you repack and trigger the setup inside. UPX'ing nero works fine in all pe builds i have ever made (for those who might...)

Admin install usually gets the job done. (seup.exe /a) (C:\WINDOWS\System32\msiexec.exe /A "pathto\file.msi") Get WICLIB from here to do this and creat MSI commands quickly (free). Otherwise, ORCA Installshield Adminstudio, X, DevStudio Wise Package Studio, Wise for windows Installer MaSaI would be more robust in extraction and manipulation.
