is there a registry key that can be changed to change the color of the office 2003 user interface. it currently changes to the color of the windows xp interface. I am using the royale theme and the office 2003 UI is just white i would like to change it to the blue that it is set at when windows is set at its default theme.

well i was orignally going to go with just an ASUS A8N-SLI Premium with a 3800+ x2 chip http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16813131540 i had considered am2 but i wasnt sure how well perfected they are. if you had suggestions on am2 chips and motherboard plz share. plus i heard performace hasnt improved that much yet with these new chipsets. your thoughts? also ripkin you have opteron i see but what is the difference between opteron and sempron vs athlon?

im building a new pc system and have been planning on going with amd but now im hearing intel has taking the lead in performance. What is a good intel motherboard. i liked Asus for amd but do they also make great intel boards? and a good intel chip. price limits motherboard $100ish chip 150ish

Just thought i would mention that KB886185 (a critical update) which is shown on the first page is replaced by KB889527 (a non-critical update). also... Alright well on the main hotfix page under the xp updates section right before the windows 2000 section you can download NON-CRITICAL UPDATES FOR WINDOWS XP PRO SP2 that file lists 11 fixes called Windows media fixes that are all for windows media player some are for wmp9 as well as 10 but if your not using media player you dont have wmp on your system you dont have to install any of those. as for the thing about messenger as far as i know non of the windows patches address msn messenger so i wouldnt really worry about that. messenger 8 is out now anyway.

Some of the hotfixes listed by hulk apply to media player 10 that is why he says the fixes apply to windows with media player 10 if you do not instal media player 10 then some of the hotfixes are not needed. if you're installing wmp10 after xp is installed rather than with an unatteded setup then make sure the hotfixes for wmp10 are installed after wmp10

alright i just reformated my system and reinstalled XP using my UACD with sp2 and hotfixes. i did not included KB917344 i my pack after my system is installed KB917344 showes up as being an installed hotfix. it is not in my $OEM$ folder or in my batch plus automatic updates are not set up so it is not installing intself. any ideas how this can possible be? is KB917344 rolled into some other update? This is very odd... any ideas?

wow this is wierd yes KB917344 does appear in my registry list of hotfixes installed but i have just done a fresh reformat and install of xp a week ago and KB917344 is not one of the hotfixes included in my unattended CD. This hotfix also shows up in "add or remove programs". How can this be??? PS i do not have automatic updates set up so it isnt installing itself. The install date of KB917344 is the same as all the other patches when in did my unattended CD install

Acctualy i just hide those folders during my unattended install ATTRIB +H "%programfiles%\xerox" ATTRIB +H "%programfiles%\microsoft frontpage" will do the trick. you have to place these lines in a batch and run them at first boot to make then work. place the cmd file in your Startup folder. good luck

Yea i know that. I.m just saying i havent installed either script 5.6 (KB917344) or KB917734 and i still have jscript.dll 5.6.0.8831. how can this be. i thought only these 2 updates could bring jscript.dll to this version.

Alright i was bout to install the windows script 5.6 (KB917344) which updates jscript.dll to 5.6.0.8831. but when checking my current jscript.dll file version i found it already was 5.6.0.8831. Is there some other patch that updates jscript.dll other than KB917734 (which i didnt install)?

so why do the two of you suggest going iwth 3800+ and overclocking it instead of overclockign the 4200+? not much of a performance difference?

just a quick question. is it a good idea to buy a video card that has already been overclocked by the maker. If it has already been overclocked can it be overclocked further yourself? what are your thoughts on this. 2nd question when looking at video card specs it says core clock ---- (gives a number) then it says (standard clock) memory clock ---(gives a number) then it says (standard clock) it gives a number for the standard clock. so if it has a high core clock but a much lower standard clock is that a card to stay away from? EDIT* is the standard what the clock is before it has been overclocked?
