well which processor and why AMD 5200+ or E6320? About 10$ price difference.

can i assume that any motherboard the supports pci express will support dx10 video cards? Is there any special features i should be looking for?

Alright i would like to set up standby mode in my XP. The computer goes into standby mode perfectly, the fans shut off and the pc shuts down but at resume the internet stops working. I have an integrated LAN card. My xp was installed with S3 is setup in the BIOS. My network card is a Intel PRO/100 that came with my Dell PC. How do i force my network card to come out of standby? I have the current drivers installed for the network card and i also have USB Mouse that works perfectly after standby... Thanks all

Thats the question where do you get your pc components when you build a pc? the Web, store, friends, old computers... Personally i have only shopped from Newegg and i will buy certain peices from the store if i notice that are on some great deal.

Thanks for the input everyone i have never heard of SeaSonic drives. They look pretty nice. The one thing the disappoints me is the fact that this model SeaSonic S12-380 ATX12V 380W does not support modular or SLI. I would really like both of these features. Do you know of any Seasonic Drives around $70 that support these features? I looked at newegg and could not find any... Sorry to come back to the Antec Smartpower 500w but that one has both SLi and modular support and is acctually cheaper. However i would go for the Seasonic despite modular i just hate haveing so many extra cables laying around in my case... Thanks again for the great input

i wouldnt worry about psu wattage but it seems higher end video cards require the higher watt psu. for me i am looking at the 7900gs. what do you suggest in this area?

Pros and cons with a computer that uses IDE only components or SATA components meaning both hard drives and disk drives. I am considering switching to SATA only PC

Should i be ok with the thermal paste/pad that comes with a processor or should i buy Arctic silver. I currently do not over clock and do not have plans to over clock. But if i changed my mind and did over clock is it worth the while to use the arctic silver?

I an looking into a new system and the new motherboard supports SATA 3.0Gb/s. My current one does not and i have ATA133 IDE drives right now. Should i pay to get the a new drive. I need at larger drive this one im looking at is 250 gb. i only have 120gb drives right now. Any performance increases with SATA 3.0Gb/s?

is it a good call to pay a little more for a 65 watt processor?

Do you guys buy items that are open box. Newegg has several items that are open box and half the price of a retail item. What are peoples thoughts on this. I could save a bundle if i did buy open box but i'm a little worried that i will get broken pieces...
