I have recently started using Royale theme for xp. I noticed that in a few apps that the menu bar "File.... edit .... view ect. have a white background behind them when this theme is used. Also when these menus are moused-over a white box forms around the text. Is there an updated version of this theme? did i some how install this wrong. I have reinstalled it and gotten the same effect. Does anyone else have this problem?

The hard drive icons and shared file icons are no longer seperated by the lines in the My computer window. They use to be group as Files stored on this computer ------------------------------------------- Hard Disk Drives ------------------------------------------- Devices with Removable Storage ------------------------------------------- Now none of the seperators are there and everything is lumped together please help I dont know how this happend

I just came across the Royale theme which was made for MCE. Yea i know it has been out for a while now but i never knew about it until recently. I love this theme way better than the standard Luna. Is there a way to install Royale during windows setup and have this theme appear at first boot rather than the luna theme? Any ideas?

Alright for my unatteded install i make changes to the start menu. These changes only effect the admin account though and i want them to effect all acounts. Also when i us this command DEL "%UserProfile%\Start Menu\Programs\Outlook Express.lnk" Outlook express icon i still in other user accounts other than the admin one. How do i remove it so it is not in any acounts?

Alright i import my registry tweaks at the end of a batch file that is called with CMDLINES. Now should i instead import the registry tweaks in a seperate line of the CMDLINES file or just leave them to be imported from the batch file. The reason i ask is that not all my registry tweaks are imported properly when called from the batch file. Would calling them in teh first line of my CMDLINES file and then run the batch file second work differntly? let me know.

@yzowl alright well i added your code to a batch file but an unable to get it to execute. the cursor just blinks and i can type in the cmd box. what am i doing wrong?

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}\shell] or just list the entries so i may inport them its windows xp with sp2 thankyou!!!

I have accidently removed the other 3 keys (i think thats what else was in there) can some one just post an uneddeded export of what should be located in that key by default? thankyou!!!

I dont know what happended but i changed to view file known file extentions and all of a sudden there is a grey background behind all my icons on my desktop. please how to i get rid of this??! Just wondering what tweaks other users have with there unnatteded installations that are NOT inclucded in the registry tweak file that can be downloaded from this site. Perhaps these tweaks should be added? I use this batch file for my hotfixes. I call it with CMDLINES.TXT but you can do it your own way. Hope this helps. HotfixInstall.cmd

Once this is all done click the "Tools" tab. 8). The second option says defrag now. Click that and let it run. It could take quite a while if it hasn't been done before. Good luck. Yes i have tried the runonce method for to run a batch file however i was unable to get it to run properly. The file was run before the computer had fully loaded.

Alright thanks for your help guys i got it figured out. Under the Owner tab it wasn't set to me as the admistator. There was a big string of numbers seperated by dashes in there instead. I really dont know what that thing was but as soon as i changed it everything worked fine. Although i do have a diffent question can anyone tell me or provide me with a link that explains what the other entries under Groups are what i have listed are Administators (Has full control) "Then my full name" (Has full control) CREATOR OWNER (Has full control) Everyone SYSTEM (Has full control) USERS (BRIAN\Users) Are all these groups necessary? Security holes at all? Any info/links on this and just detailed info on how sharing works in XP Pro would be wonderful!!

i am the administator how do i retake control of this folder. Also i did not remove any accounts i just changed settings in the Everyone chategory. for some reason i though this would effect everyone other than me (the administator) please tell me more about this

This line wil import registry entries with a batch file. REGEDIT /S (then just the location of the reg file)

Well acctually i tested yours also and it produced the same results as the tweak i used. I just went with my becuase it seemed simpler.
