Looks like a nice one; seems to rip to iso and rip audio too. http://hem.bredband.net/download1/cdbxp_setup_3.0.116.zip I am downloading it now (11020kb). I could not seem to find a fast mirror for this file.

I had ran across the portable version of DeepBurner thanks to albator's post. http://www.deepburner.com/download/DeepBurner1_Portable.zip The size of it is very nice when compared to Nero. I've used nero for a really long time; I would never go back to adaptec's software! I was wondering about DeepBurner's fans out there and if anyone has experience with this nero alternative or a possible better one?

The attachment is a gui program if you prefer. It is as that from win9x. winipcfg.exe

I seem to have memory leaks at times with opera (the opera.exe process has exceeded 200mb+ before dragging my pc). I have read that exploits exists for firefox. I managed to get spyware when I was using firefox; I have not got any spyware since usage with Opera. I liked the adblock extension with firefox; I have been using admuncher as a replacement for that when using opera. I believe there is also a remove permanently extension for firefox. I like the wand from opera for username logins (I've never seen anything like it); is there an equivalent for firefox? I've also had problems using opera for java applets like yahoo games; flash seems to work fine though. Also, the quicktime plugin I had to use IE for seemingly; I haven't tested the quicktime alternative program/codec yet. Firefox seems to provide more power; and opera seems to be cleaner on some things. I was wondering what everyone here thinks?

quicktime 6.5: register + remove tray icon
matthewk replied to oermens's topic in Application Installs
Thanks, it was helpful to me. I don't know any advantage to using quicktime over mpc. -
Are these both included in the ffdshow codec pack? Thanks
-
Well, I had been using ffdshow for some time now. I am confused with all this other talk. I downloaded the one that was above mentioned on the foreign site, but the file was corrupt. I am trying to do a WPI cd, and I want to make sure not to leave any importance out. What's the real deal on these codecs? Thanks

Registering File Extensions Unattended
matthewk replied to SiMoNsAyS's topic in Application Installs
I think it's easier and worth the 1mb to place the nfo viewer exe by **** somewhere and do the extension relationships as desired. You can avoid the odd window sizing of the cmd window this way and get a more sleek appearance. -
This sounds like a good one; thank you. I am wondering if I get this or another decoder pack installed, do I need the application (qt / real) installed for the webbrowser to be able to do the streaming movies for quicktime and realplayer?

I was wondering if users of zoom player use media player classic as well? I have used zoom player; it had some neat features. I am always looking to replace applications with a better application if possible. Thanks

Adobe Acrobat Reader 7 Lite - 5 MB Only!
matthewk replied to [deXter]'s topic in Application Installs
Is there any advantage to using adobe acrobat over foxit reader? Foxit is smaller and loads quicker. -
how can he see. That it's second CD
matthewk replied to kaje_ovo's topic in Windows Post-Install Wizard (WPI)
You could add it to the tool tip until you figure it out -- maybe that will help. -
Neat tip, Thag. Thanks for that.

Will someone repost the images? thanks

I also wrote this: echo 10.61.32.1 login >> %windir%\system32\drivers\etc\hostsThis will allow the user to type login in the address bar rather than the ip. Is there a default computername or way to reference the DNS ip? Thanks again

See the following 2 links. You will want to put in your model number (seemingly the one for your computer). I did not find direct support for their keyboards either. Try as noted -- by providing your computer model number on the below webpages. If such does not work, spend more time searching if you not have. The 12 minutes following my post might not have been long enough to cover all bases. Good luck! http://www.vaio-link.com/downloads/registe...gister.asp?l=en http://esupport.sony.com/perl/select-syste...24,26,66,9,70,5

Is this after a clean install? If not, then I suggest doing such.

Try restoring the folder from the recycle bin. Rename the folder to "abc". Where the folder exist, make (then run) remove.bat file with the contents: rd abc /s /q

Usually keyboards and other hardware have the maker's name on it and maybe even a model number. I usually take the maker name and the model number and go to google.com. Then, I search for drivers for the device. If it is hp, logitech, or a popular one, then going to the company's website might be easiest method to obtain the drivers.

On the network, we have a login page that will display when it has been noticed that the computer is trying to access the internet using the dns server. Sometimes, a user will have to refresh/query a webpage multiple times before this login page will show. On the other hand, if the user goes directly to http://the.dns.server.ip.addr, then the login page will show without problems. How do I find out the computername or hostname for the dns server, so that helping users on the network will be easier (http://computername)? The only idea I've came up with is running a webserver that will redirect to the http://the.dns.server.ip.addr. Thanks in advance

These typically come with a small software that is installed and will run in the background when/if you install the drivers for your internet/multimedia keyboard.

Ok thanks for the replies. I will try the solution(s) posted to see if it does the quick format option for me after I have manually set the partition.

My ethernet intel 100 pro drivers do that. I am interested in a reply too. Thanks

I've also seen: Filesystem=LeaveAlone I made a few things bold in the original post to hopefully clarify what I desire to do. I desire quick ntfs format to be default choice Not normal ntfs format. Thanks
