IMHO just move(!) the plugins you don't require from "%programmfiles%\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\Reader\plug_ins" to a backup directory. restart AR7 and make sure it starts without errors you may have to test a little, to find your optimum of what you need and what AR7 sees as essential plugins (until AR7 stopps nagging;))

remember the date of your last unattended installation? add this to your installation batch (oeminfo.ini must not exist yet) quick'n'dirty: SET D=%SYSTEMROOT%\system32\ echo [General] >> "%D%oeminfo.ini" echo Manufacturer=Unattended XP-SP2 Installation >> "%D%oeminfo.ini" echo Model=Professional Edition >> "%D%oeminfo.ini" echo [Support Information] >> "%D%oeminfo.ini" echo Line1=XP SP2 Professional Edition >> "%D%oeminfo.ini" echo Line2=Unattended version (v1.0a) >> "%D%oeminfo.ini" echo Line3= >> "%D%oeminfo.ini" echo Line4=Date of installation: %date% >> "%D%oeminfo.ini"

to get files within the data1.cab/data2.cab/... files do this http://www.myplc.com/sony/i6comp_howto.htm extract the files from "awi3157_xp.exe" with winrar and to as follows in the dos prompt: i6comp x data1.cab (there's no need to do the following for data2.cab as well, because the i6comp.exe extracts all files in all *.cab files in the current directory!) -

RyanVM Windows XP SP2 Update Pack
creopard replied to RyanVM's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
The pack's inf-installation routine at T-13 seems to create lot's of "restore points". How can i either execute the pack after T-13 (when SR is turned off by then) or turn off SR before the pack gets installed??? I also guess that's the cause of the framedyn.dll & srclient.dll-error (i recently experience) -

I don't understand what you're saying... Please clarify The Terratec Control Panel that is used with Aureon "Sky" and "Space" is not meant to work with the Aureon "Fun" Version of the Soundcards... So just a hint... -
Driverpack Sound - V5.03.1 & V5.03
creopard replied to Bâshrat the Sneaky's topic in The General Stuff
just a quick note: IF EXIST %D%cmaudio.sys START %C%T\T_F.exe won't work on Terratec Aureon FUN (Nothing wrong with your pack here, Terratec's driver just does not work with the "lite" version.) -

I just came across the registry tweak file and found some small errors: mostly double-entries: (line 792f) [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Download] "RunInvalidSignatures"=dword:00000000 "CheckExeSignatures"="no" (line 1864) [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Download] "CheckExeSignatures"="no" "RunInvalidSignatures"=dword:00000001 one RunInvalidSignatures set "0" the other "1" (line 1916 & 1918) exists twice "FontSmoothingType"=dword:00000002 (line 334f) [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AutoComplete] "AutoSuggest"="yes" "Append Completion"="yes" (line 648f) [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AutoComplete] "AutoSuggest"="yes" "Append Completion"="yes" (line 806) [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AutoComplete] "Append Completion"="yes" (line 268) [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer] "Max Cached Icons"="256" (line 2239) [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer] "Max Cached Icons"="8192" i guess the last one is the wanted value (xp's default is 512) (final line) [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer] "CleanShutdown"=dword:00000000 i guess this was for win2k only (not 100% sure about this!) for XP the entry in line 929 should do: "PowerdownAfterShutdown"="1"
