  1. i only had issues with three lines of the batch where you compare 2 variables, the others worked fine without quotation marks...
  2. I found an error in CABfiles_M1.cmd: you should use quotation marks in these 3 cases (when comparing 2 variables)... otherwise i get the same error as "edmoncu" that says: "and" is unexpected at this time
  3. thats not what I wanted, so you think it's not possible?
  4. Is it possible to compress files in the folder "$OEM$\$$\System32" to e.g. "somefile.dl_" with makecab? (similar methor as in the coming driver packs) I mean, will these files be uncompressed by windows automatically during installation? This could save a lot of space for e.g. the "unattended codec pack"...
  5. using IE 5.5 Dlls when IE6 is installed? that sounds rather contradictorily...

  9. *testing* looks very promising so far! good job I'll update the German version to 2.0 as soon as possible!
  10. happy birthday from me as well
  11. - VIA Vinyl Audio Driver Version - 580a - VIA Envy Audio Driver Version - 442a - VIA Ethernet (VT82xx) Driver Version - 40F - VIA Ethernet (VT6105/L/LOM and VT6106) Driver Version - 24 http://www.viaarena.com/default.aspx?PageID=2
  12. New Intel Network Driver is out (V9.2) http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df...71&DwnldID=4275 supporting following chipsets: 8255x, 82562, and 8254x, PRO100 x, PRO1000 x
  13. we had that once, read my last post!! you'll need '%%1' if you put the command into a batch file!! if you execute it directly on the command prompt then '%1' works!
  14. my fault.. i executed the "reg add..." directly instead of putting it into a batch-file!
  15. nice script, but it does not work correctly the way you posted it replace '%%1' by '%1' (tested on xpsp2)
  16. @Bâshrat: you forgot to add the path DP\L\L\3\B to OemPnPDriversPath in method1.htm p.s. I don't see a difference in DP83820.sys in "DP\L\L\3" & "DP\L\L\3\B" except filesize!?
  17. I guess it is, and I think it's not useful unless the inf-file editing can be automatized... BUT: what about that "Driver Compressor" in the 'device drivers' forum? Applying it on the driver packs will also save some MB's OR you could compress/'makecabs' all files within the DP's that are not .inf or .cat
  18. indeed a VERY useful batchfile! this would slim down Bâshrat the Sneaky's driverpacks quite a lot
  19. i like durex's way very much: copy /y NUL "<filename>" applying the batch on 6.6.0.5 (just keeping Nero core files, Coverdesigner & Toolkit) results in a 18,3 MB Winrar SFX Installer thx a lot for the inspiration!! now there's again some space for additional drivers
  20. @sixpack: manually by hand (you could also delete all entries e.g. containing "mraid35x" in txtsetup.sif and just add all lines in Bâshrat's "add to txtsetup.sif.txt", BUT you'll loose the entries containing "mraid35x" originally being supported by XP). I guess it had to be done once by hand... a real tough "handjob" by modifying and executing the batchfile in another folder, all mass storage files got compressed indepenently. when copying the files to my xpcd\i386 folder windows prompted me to overwrite some files. since I only expected ultra.sys to be overwritten, this required further investigation the other files that had to be overwritten were: dpti2o.sys, adpu160m.sys, dac2w2k.sys, dac960nt.sys, mraid35x.sys and ql12160.sys. so there had to be double entries.
  21. sorry, overlooked that one good job!
  22. found it in the news... does this "compact" .NET version supersede ".NET Framework 1.1 SP1"?? http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...45-f92bec03032f
  23. some double entries in txtsetup.sif double entries in txtsetup.sif after batch execution (similar to ultra.sys problem - I guess you'll also have to remove those):
  24. correct me if i'm wrong but i thought you need to add the filenames to txtsetup.sif (not dosnet.inf)
  25. nForce-audio drivers v4.57 File Size: 820K http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_audio_4.57_win2kxp in case you want to add those too
