  1. Is it just me or does anybody else encounter problems while trying to burn bin/cue files? It seems the dialog box is broken or just missing!? I just reinstalled Nero7 without using any switches -> same problem
  2. for the message queuing have a look at the files in the attachment. msmq_common="on" didn't work for me either. execute the batchfile in the attachment in your runonceex-file or whatever "postinstall" system you are using to log in as administrator set this in your winnt.sif msmq.rar
  3. 7.2.3.2 release notes if anybody cares: http://www.nero.com/nero7/eng/Nero_Burning...lease_Notes.php
  4. give the "RunOnceEx" method a try... you can then use installers that need to be "switched"
  5. good work, however I'm stranded here performing this command: as well as installs nero with the desired modules, but every time in english language just executing installs fine in germanby the way: even if nero is installed without this virusscanner-component, the installer creates a lot of these DRWxxxxx.VDB & DRWxxxxx.TXT files
  6. http://www.usbman.com/win98seusbguide.htm and search for "nusb" here in the forums
  7. If you compress the "sisagpx.sys" (that comes with the SIS AGP Driver Set), XP won't find it during installation and your SIS-chipset based system will lack agp-acceleration-support, unless you install the driver manually afterwards! Don't ask me why, but since there does not seem to be another solution, it would be better to leave the sys-file alone (i.e. do not "makecab" it). Did anyone else experience that as well?
  8. I'm using the "German version" of the RVM-Pack that can be downloaded @ http://www.xp-sp2-updatepack.de.vu/ Due to the Run_Me.cmd the Hotfix files of KB888111 will be deleted, as it only checks for the original RVM-Pack. REM ### If KB888111 is slipstreamed, it will be deleted, UNLESS RyanVM's UpdatePack is detected OR if any of Windows Server 2003's tagfiles are detected!. ### Why do you delete these "hda*.*" files automatically? Can you add future support for this pack by also checking for the existance of "SEREPACK.IN_" and not just "RVMUPPCK.IN_". Thanks in advance!
  9. Thanks for the info. Has anybody still a link for "DriverPack_Chipset_V5111.7z"? Only 5112 is available at driverpacks.net...
  10. thanks a lot. also for the "copyfile"-link@Petr
  11. dsound.dll (again) installing the SP2.1a after DirectX9c (as recommended) with the following line DSOUND.DLL,,DSOUND.TMP,4 in the update.inf, makes the SP overwrite the new dsound.dll (4.09) from DirectX9c with the old one (4.07) from the SP DxDiag also recognizes the deprecated file and recommends the reinstallation of DirectX9c Is there an alternative installation method? maybe another number than ",4"
  12. anybody else, who can confim this? This issue does not seem to appear here did you comply with the install guide?
  13. By the way: the German Version 2.1a is available (see my signature) In its actual issue, the German magazine "PC-WELT" rated the "unofficial Win98 SE SP 2.0.2" TOP 14 out of the 100 best free- and shareware tools
  14. It actually was similar added additionally: [Copy.System] DSOUND.DLL,,DSOUND.TMP,4 [Copy.Sysbckup] DSOUND.DLL,,,4 and it installs perfectly.
  15. Unfortunately not... therefore I released the German Version without dsound.dll for the time being.
  16. I tried dsound.dll from a German DirectX 7.0, but the result is the same... Even the English and the French Version show the same behaviour. It still claims dsound.dll is in use. (Do you do your test installations with an internal soundcard or without any sound hardware) I wonder I'm the only one, who experiences this problem. Test installations were done with a real PC as well as within a VM-Ware environment. Both the same error messages. EDIT: Yes, you're right... I guess that's it.
  17. Hi, the German localisation is actually finished, however there seems to be an issue with dsound.dll... On a fresh installed Win98 SE (without updating to any superior DirectX version yet), Windows 98 complains: "the following system files have been substituted by an older version. since they are in current use, they could not be repaired automatically..." The original version of dsound.dll is 4.06.03.0518 The new dsound.dll was directly taken from the English version of SE SP 2.1 After a reboot, dsound.dll is still the old version!? Is that because of: Dsound.dll,,,1056 (instead of 1024)? Beside that: again great job, gape!
  18. maybe this general NTFS (read-only) implementation might be a good idea to implement, since a lot of users are running a dual-OS environment (98/2k or xp) (this would however exceed the servicepack's intention to be a mere collection of updates )
  19. if you set [Networking] InstallDefaultComponents=No in your winnt.sif, the "file and printer sharing for microsoft networks" won't be installed at all. that's probably, what you want
  20. the slip.cmd needs changes, since junkfilter update (KB90749) and KB907414 are out
  21. I might have mixed up something... MQ for ISS is not what I intended to install All I would like to have installed automatically is this: The solutions mentioned above will not work to accomplish that (thanks anyway guys )
