  3. Hello! Welcome to the forums!
  4. Alright Tried what you said. It had 2 512mb chips in it (theres 4slots) so I tried them all. I tried them in pairs, switched sides, only tried one on a time and then switched sides. Still did not work So it got me thinking.... Maybe its the ram itself has gone bad? so I had an old 256mb DDR400 chip laying around. Put that in it. worked like a charm. So I told him to buy new ram for it. 1024X2 so he will have 2gb. Sweet.. The thing is, I tried this before, didnt work. but I never thought of trying some other ram.
  5. Well I been working on my friends system for sometime. When we ordered all the parts, I installed them and they worked fine, Installed XP, he was happy for a year and then out of no where it stopped working. So now I have his system and of course Physical First! So I checked all the cables, everything seems to be connected and well seated. So I begin to set up windows, First I was trying to install XP Pro and I could get all the way to where "copying files" are. It would either stop on shell32.dll or user32.dll. So I thought it might be a cd problem, tried another copy of windows, that was good, no scratches or anything. Still wouldent work. Even the hard drive was reset, works fine in my external HDD case. So after that I tried to install Vista, well it only got so far and gave me a fatal error. So I have no idea. I'm assuming its either the Hard drive or CD drive. Any ideas?

  8. Well everything was ok, he got back from ICU the day after he was admitted. What ever it was, they say its not life threating but could cause a blood clot, so they are going to keep a close eye on that. So he's back home now and well.
  9. Welcome to the forums! Well this is a Technology forum. Simple as that. Make sure you read the rules before posting.
  10. If you read my post above, I can't really fit it on my desk and it is kind of out of my budget range, The dell monitor is free shipping too and dell has a good warranty as well.
  11. Oh man I missed it XD
  12. Thanks for this! This is really cool. I really need to expand my Microsoft knowledge. One of my life goals was to be Microsoft Certified.
  13. @ James_A That would work too.

  15. Is this downloaded copy of Office 2003 legit?
  16. You should of posted it in the Site & Forum Issues. I doubt it has anything to do with Windows 98 It guess it could be a browser problem or something.
  17. Yeah I try that, but it still does that.

  19. When I'm not on my computer, I have to manual login. So when I manual login (password and user name isn't saved on a shared computer, only on my system) So when I login,It says my password and stuff was wrong, but shows me that I am logged in anyways. Little strange if you ask me, I remembered when I logged it went to front page So I just thought you guys should know about that bug or what ever it is.

  22. Hmm, You could just copy the contents on the computer and then copying them back over to another floppy disk. Why are you using Floppy disk anyway? Well I mean what are they anyways? I personally would use partition magic. It feels like its becoming hard to find software dedicated to cloning floppy disks You could try this I guess: http://www.winimage.com/winimage.htm
  23. Hmm well not sure, I can't find that screen anywheres, well one that comes with warranty. EDIT: Well after measuring the unit I find that it barely fits on my desk and would almost be way to big for my video card to handle. Since I only have a 7600GT KO
  24. Well I am finally in the Market for a new Screen my Budget is some wheres around 350 bucks. I need DVI, and 22inch or higher. I need adjustable Height, swivel, tilt, the whole thing, even Portrait and Landscape mode would be nice. So I was thinking to get this monitor from Dell: http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/product...20-6107#reviews But after read some reviews people say it doesn't have the Adjustable I want and its not very crisp screen and that it has a TN panel. So I was wondering what you guys recommend, I was thinking to get the Samsung 22inch wide screen. Not sure. But I am in the market for a good screen for Gaming, Video/Photo editing and stuff like that. Thanks guys. EDIT: Oh, USB ports would be nice on it too, but not required.
  25. hey welcome to the forums!
