Well frankly speaking the thread was from the beginning just silly, sorry kambui but piracy actually it is not exactly a problem. Meaning piracy and piracy in the subcontinent are completely different things. and if they do what does it mean? mine makes a random piercing peeee sound. About the system beep: as far as i know its just an indication of ram being started or something, nothing unusual.

EDIT: PROBLEM IS SOLVED, NO NEED TO READ IF U KNOW THE ANSWER. Will a usb 2.0 pci really give me apeeds upto 480Mbps. I plan to get a usb casing and use my old 10Gb harddisk as external backup. Now this page claims usb 2.0 gives 40 times the speed of usb 1.1 But how can that be possible since the harddisk's read/write speed never goes above 5 mb/s . i had a hibernate problem as well. But that was after anlited install. Turns out the problem was because of some graphics driver. Don't ask me whats the relation between hibernate and graphic drivers , coz i am still confused by that. So try reinstalling your video card drivers(even if its onboard), that just might work.

Since the biggest medium for spyware and other crap is Internet explorer, i wld say this makes Opera the best spyware blocker B) . Coming back to topic i wld say giant's aka Microsoft's antispyware as a very good blocker. It monitors 50+ checkpoints on the computer.

what most ppl forget is that only page loading speed is not important 'speed' factor. For example having tabs is itself a speed booster- allows u to load another page whe n u r reading one. and thats what makes opera so good- cache handling is so good. even my 64bit connection compares with any 512bit connection, because of the cache thing. i can set opera to use caached images only which opens images only from and haddrive, thus speeding things 3-5x times. also hitting back is instant. with IE the page shows only when loaded comlpetely. opera ff start showing te page as it loads, so u can read a page while images and ads r still loading.
